The majority of Americans try to work out to help lose weight or to keep in shape and get that sculpted body. But we have a hard time finding the time to do it in. We try gyms, but after a few weeks most of us stop going. Some find it weird and awkward to even attempt to go to the gym. Then after trying to gym, we try workout videos and dvds. The problem we find with that is actually finding the time to actually sit down and work with them. With our busy lives it’s hard to find the time to do a workout that is effective. The “10 Minutes Solutions” line of DVDs are perfect for those of us who simply don’t have a lot of time.
10 Minute Solution: Pilates is hosted by Lara Hudson, and produced by Dragonfly Productions. There are five different sessions of Pilates that work of five different things. This dvd focuses on abs, buns and thighs, sculpting, flexibility and burning calories all in ten minutes. You can make your own workout program by doing one at a time or all at once or picking and chosing the ones you want to do at each time. Even if you do one each day you can feel the difference. All five sessions helps you tone your muscles and uses something from each other sessions. Lara Hudson explains things in a way that it’s easy to understand what you are doing and why you are doing it.
The Pilates Abs session activates your core muscles. If you are going to pick several sessions or do all of them at once you should start with this one. You get a better result from this DVD abs than you would with crunches. It’s hard to do in one sitting when you are beginning, but after a few times you get used to the work out and are able to do then all. This workout helps you get a flatter, firmer core than you would with anything else. The other exercises uses the core as strength and a way to center yourself, so you need it to be strong. The Buns and Thighs sections works on both buns and thighs, those hard to reach places in most exercises. It uses smooth flowing movements so you don’t strain your muscles. it helps create lean and toned legs and firm buns. The moves are easy to do, but they really do pack a punch.
The Sculpting session works on sculpting your arms and shoulders without adding bulk to them. you use light weights; two to five pounds, but no heavier. This workout is gentle like the traditional pilates, but with faster results. Your arms do get tired fast, but you should continue through as many of the workouts as you can to see the best results. The Pilates Burn session really burns off the calories. It uses cardio, toning and total body conditioning to get the result you desire. Soon after the session begins you start to sweat, but it feels great. The last section is the flexibility section. This section focuses on lengthening ans stretching your muscles to help you look leaner and toned. It’s a great total body workout that you won’t get with cardio or muscle training. It has two advantages: flexibility and it melts away your stress. This workout helps you relax and could be done at the end of the workout to help your body come down from the workout. It is lower impact than the other five workouts.
This is a great DVD to use to workout in the comfort of your own home, and at your own time. If you quit for several weeks you will notice a difference. 10 Minute Solutions: Pilates is a great DVD to workout with. It’s easy to follow and easy to do. There are other DVDs in the collection for a better workout if you combine them all.
