Your local makeup counter seems to bombard you with a much-too-big choice when it comes to all makeup, including eye liner. What makes your choice issue even worse is that you see all the high prices attached to these choices, so you begin to scan the rack for something you can afford. You probably wonder in the back of your mind what the difference is between the cheap eye liners and the pricey ones. The price is the most apparent answer. Eye liner does not cover much area, but it’s important to find one that your eyes are not sensitive to because you don’t want watery eyes as a result. The next thing is color and lasting coverage for the cheapest price possible, and here are three cheap eye liners that can deliver both for little cost:
L.A. Colors Eye Liner Pencil. This eyeliner looks like it would not go onto your eye well because it has a sharp point when it is new in the package, but it does. This eyeliner glides across your eye and your eyelid like it is silk. You get 2 pencils and a nifty eye pencil sharpener for around $2 at the Dollar Store. You can get brown, black, or brown/black in this eye liner pencil, and the best thing is that it is slow to wear off. You can get the L.A. colors liquid eyeliner for just a bit more in price. Unfortunately, though, the liner applicator in the liquid eye liner is harsh on the eyes because it is not pliable, so stick with the eye liner pencil. It is the best you can get for the money.
Cover Girl Perfect Point Plus Eye Pencil. You can get this smooth eye pencil at the Dollar Store, as well, for just under $4, and you will love it because it helps you to quickly draw a defining line onto your eyelids. You might have to go back and forth with the pencil, though, to give your eyes the definition they deserve because this eyeliner pencil lays down much less color that the L.A. Colors pencil. You can get this pencil in brown or black, and it even has a contoured sponge tip on the opposite end to help with smudges. Even so, this eye liner pencil fails to have the staying power that the L.A. Colors pencil has.
Maybelline Liquid Eye Liner. This liquid eye liner adds bright definition to your eyes, but it does take some practice in learning how to apply it. This liquid eye liner is kind to the eyes. It feels soft going on and does have some staying power. You can get it in various colors, and the cost is around $6 at places like Wal-mart and K-Mart. If you go out in this eye liner, though, you might want to carry the tube with you because it will eventually begin to dry out and flake, leaving you with only a partially-lined eye. Don’t just re-line the part of the eye where the eye liner has come off. Remove all the liner from both eyes and start fresh for best results.
