Delaware is buzzing with 4th of July’s celebration events. From fireworks to music concerts, there is something for everyone. If you’re in Delaware, you’re sure in for a treat. 4th of July Celebrations at Dover
The capital of Delaware, Dover, has a full day of 4th of July event planned. The day includes guided and self-guided walking tours to museums and historic buildings.
Children’s activities are scheduled free from 5 – 8.30pm. It includes a moonbounce, National Guard inflatable obstacle course, pony and tractor-train rides at the west end of Legislative Mall.
Don’t miss the old-fashioned parade down State Street, starting at Hazel Road and ending just past The Green at 6pm.
The 4th of July celebrations includes band performances by the Army Band of the Delaware and the Dixieland Band of the Milford Community Band and culminates with an awesome display of fireworks.
4th of July Celebrations with the Wilmington & the Western Railroad at Wilmington, Delaware
Join Delaware’s vintage train which takes you to a fun 4 hour ride directly into Hockessin for the July 4th Fireworks. Departure is scheduled at 7pm. The tickets are priced $18 for adults and $15 for children. Senior citizens can ride the Wilmington & the Western at a discounted price of $17.
4th of July Celebrations at Wilmington, Delaware
The 4th of July festivities begin in Wilmington, Delaware from 6pm at Riverfront, an attractive entertainment venue.
DelawareSymphony Orchestra and Music Director David Amado honor American heroes past and present through a free concert at 8:30 P.M. at Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park, Wilmington. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy an evening of music followed by grand fireworks.
Don’t miss Delaware’s All American Baby Contest. The contestants will be introduced on stage at 6pm and the proud winner will be announced around 7.30pm.
Along with music performance by Brandywine Chorus Barbershop Singers; Wilmington has numerous children’s activities organized. It includes patriotic arts and crafts, Jack the Balloon Man, face painters, stilt walkers and jugglers, Betsy Ross and much more.
Other events planned for July the 4th in Wilmington, Delaware is a free night of ice skating fun at The First Night Wilmington Artificial Ice Skating Rink, sponsored by DuPont from 6 – 8.30 pm.
Join a baseball game between the Wilmington Blue Rocks and Kinston Indians at 2pm at Frawley Stadium. Be a part of the game and enjoy the Independence Day celebrations later.
4th of July Celebrations at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware
If you’re headed towards the beach this long weekend, be sure to stop by Main Street & Zambelli Internationale at Rehoboth Beach, for a marvelous display of fireworks, watched every year by more than 8000 people on the shoreline. Participate in a night of contemporary music and a performance by Funsters at the Bandstand after the fireworks.
