Aqua Mania offers a program especially for adults who are afraid of the water. It is called Miracle Swimming®, and in these classes students learn to be in control in any depth of water. They also offer Learn to Swim, in which students can learn the various swimming strokes. The student will also learn personal safety.
The rates are $400 for 10 fifty minute lessons. Days and hours of operation are;
Monday and Wednesday – 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.Tuesday and Thursday – 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
2. Sea Otter Swim Lessons

On their web site Sea Otter states, “Whether you are 19 or 90 we have instruction that’s just right for you. Many adults have thought that it’s too late…Not True!” So you see, no matter what your age is, as an adult, you can learn to swim.
The rates are $216 for 9 twenty minute classes of Summer Session lessons. Days and hours of operation are:
Tuesday through Friday – 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:20 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday – 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
3. California Family Fitness Center

Though California Family Fitness is a fitness center and a gym, they have 15 centers in Sacramento and the surrounding areas, and 8 of their centers have pools in which adult swimming lessons are offered.
