I’ve never heard of the company Aromatherapy Associates until I recently came upon it in a box of freebies that was given to me. In it was an odd product called Aromatherapy Associates Renew Rose Skin Tonic.
To be honest I had no idea how to go about using it, or what it was even for. The bottle contained a liquid that looked like water to me. It was runny like water, but it definitely did not smell like water. It smelled like rose water.
I turned the long squared bottle around and read the description, and also the instructions on how to go about using this weird rose scented water.
It turned out that Aromatherapy Associates Renew Rose Skin Tonic is meant for your face. You apply it by drenching a cotton ball with the liquid and spreading it around your face.
It is meant to tone the skin, revitalize, and to hydrate. I had used toner’s before but supposedly ones as great as this are hard to come by. We’ll see about that.
The bottle also says you can use it before applying makeup.
I only like rose scents when I smell a bouquet of roses. It is a smell I hate wearing because it reminds me of old moldy chicks. Aromatherapy Associates Renew Rose Skin Tonic smells like that; rose moldy chicks. It has a strong aroma of rose, and nothing else. I didn’t quite like it, but I had to give it a week trial before I could pass judgment on how well it works.
Applying Aromatherapy Associates Renew Rose Skin Tonic was easier than I first thought it would be. A few tips of the bottle to a large cotton ball, and I was ready to apply.
I swirled the liquid around on my face and let it dry. The tonic dries really fast, and absorbs into the skin quickly, so you don’t have to worry about waiting to drip dry.
I must say, that the experience was quite enjoyable. After the tonic dried it left my face feeling cool, refreshed, and very clean. It felt as if I had just washed with a deep exfoliating scrub…but in reality all I did was apply the tonic.
I was surprised, because as the rose scent faded it smelled refreshing and uplifting. There was nothing old lady about it.
After a week of use I didn’t really notice a difference in my skin. It was just as tone as it ever was, with nothing new and improved for me to report about. I was hoping it would shrink my pores (especially that big one I’ve been working on with numerous products!).
Although Aromatherapy Associates Renew Rose Skin Tonic didn’t do much for me when it came to toning my skin up, I must say that it makes for an extremely refreshing wash for the face. Your skin feels fresh and clean after applying it, and it deserves some recognition for that. The refreshing clean feeling lasts for a few hours, so for me Aromatherapy Associates Renew Rose Skin Tonic deserves 3 stars out of 5.
Where To Buy Aromatherapy Associates Renew Rose Skin Tonic:
To be completely honest I have never ever come across this brand of products, nor have I ever seen Aromatherapy Associates Renew Rose Skin Tonic for sale in any stores where I am from. My uncle manages to pick up these oddball beauty products, and God knows where he finds them.
I was however able to locate Aromatherapy Associates Renew Rose Skin Tonic online at www.Amazon.com for $26.50! I know, I was shocked too. The price is high, and perhaps even ridiculous for what you get.
I love Aromatherapy Associates Renew Rose Skin Tonic as a refreshing wash, but it does not do enough to justify a price tag like that.
