Warner Park is my favorite park in Madison. They are located at 2930 North Sherman Avenue. They have a fun colorful and unique shelter that can be rented for parties that has a pretty wooden bridge that goes over a small creek. The park has 180 acres and even has a fenced in dog park where you pal can hang out with other dogs and get some exercise. It also has a great boat launch, 3 basketball courts, bike paths, 3 soccer fields and tennis courts, a football field, 2 sand volleyball courts, a lagoon, and 2 playgrounds.
The park is also home to Warner Park Recreation Center. Here there is a gymnasium, fully equipped exercise room, and game room. It can be rented for weddings and parties of all sorts. The park is also home to the Mallards baseball team, which is Madison’s local team. They have their home field in the park. So you can hang out and watch one of their games when they are playing.
Madison also has BB Clark Beach located at 835 Spaight Street, Bernie’s Beach at 901 Gilson Street, Esther Beach at 2802 Waunona Way, and Spring Harbor Beach at 1918 Norman Way. They are all great beaches in their own way. But like I said Warner Park is my favorite with James Madison Beach in a close second! But no matter which one you go to or like, it is a great way to spend a day off at and relax. Or you can get a group of friends together and play some sports and then go for a swim! So make sure to check some of these great Madison beaches out if you get a chance.
