Are you tired of your old furniture? Do you want a new look but can not afford one? Then have you checked out Craigslist? Craigslist is a huge on line community with everything you need or want. It is a free to post classified city based website. Once you visit Craigslist you will click your state, and find your nearest city, from there you can do almost anything!
But I want to focus on one section. The For Sale section. You can find almost anything you want all right here in this section, including FREE furniture! Your not limited there, you can also look at any of the other categories and search by keyword and price. Let’s say you want to buy a couch for under $100. Just type in sofa, or couch as the keyword and 0-100 for the price range. Most of these listing have photos, so you can see the quality and condition of each item.
There is a sub section on Craigslist under For Sale labeled Free Stuff. Once you are there, you can find all types of things people are just ready to give away including furniture. Think of it like this, have you ever bought a new entertainment center or other large piece of furniture, and putout your old one on the curb, knowing someone would pick it up? Well, thats the idea here, except the person giving it away chooses to let their Craigslist community know about it! You have to be quick though, many things go very fast. Once you see something, whether it’;s free or not, if you want it, contact the seller immediately.
It may take you a while to find that perfect deal, but it is worth it. There are many kind people who use Craigslist to get rid of their old junk. You know what they say, one man’s trash is another’s treasure. Be sure that if you say you will be there to pick something up, that you do. Nothing aggravates Craigslist sellers more then no shows. Imagine if they had to turn 10 people down since you said you were defiantly going to pick it up, just to have you bail out. It’s not very nice!
Also, you can list items on Craigslist too. It cost you nothing, and you can earn extra cash, or get rid of things you just don’t need anymore, without worrying about the extra cost from your trash company.
It is all there for you to see. i would suggest logging on to www.craigslist.org today to see what is available to you right now! This in my opinion is so much better then the classifieds in the newspapers because 95% of the time you can see a picture of the item being given away or sold. Always check the site often, as people can add their listings 24/7 and the busier cities have posts being added constantly!
Craigslist has so many other uses it is incredible. Since my focus was to get you to find free and cheap furniture only, I wanted to share other Craigslist information I have found helpful.
