Human beings pass through life because they have been born into this world. There are fortunate beings, extremely gifted human beings, average people who belong to the also ran category and every creature is just a speck in this vast Universe .But each one of us, is at many times called a creature of circumstances .Who created this circumstance? If we pick children first of all, is there any child that asks to be born in this world? Then is it not mandatory to feel a sense of duty to children?
Research has proved that the children who are well loved and cuddled turn out to be bright young adults. This being the case, there is no second opinion on the issue that children do need love and affection. There have been famous sayings like
“The Hand that rocks the cradle rules the world” highlighting the mother’s role in forming the character of the child, her contribution to its growth and development and ultimately the part that this grown up child plays in this world. On observation one would come to the conclusion that well loved children, those children that are given a lot of proper time and attention are achievers -if the child is an extraordinarily gifted child, he reaches adulthood in a very sensible mature manner and achieves his full potential
Love can work wonders, it can make magic and moreover can prevent crime. But this has to be showered at a young age, when the mind is impressionable, when it has still not worn its cloak of disillusionment and cynicism, when it is still wearing its rose colored spectacles.
Great poets have compared children to God, because they know not evil. But this world is a tough one and the child when not loved and protected properly, falls prey to easy distraction and obtains negative perceptions. Children are not guided properly when there is no accompanying love. This does not advocate an extreme cocooning of the child but it encourages the right sort of protection that enables the child to be an adult, feel loved and secure and achieve its full potential.Apart from this positive effect of being an achiever, this also can definitely prevent the child from wrong influences and become an unruly element.
This century, with its advancement in science and technology has brought forth a multitude of avenues, of distractions, of wrong exposure that may mar the outlook and thought processes of children and love and protection would provide them with the confidence that they would be able to sift the chaff from the grain and make right choices.
