Chocolate Christmas treats that I will tell you about are so good, and unusual that you will get many compliments about your creations. Trust me: They are easy but will appear as if it took you hours to create, but it will not.
Everyone loves chocolate treats around Christmas time, and you can make some very nice little treats using those chocolate candy melts you can buy at your local Wal-Mart or in larger crafting stores. Those chocolate candy melts are very simple to use, and they work wonderfully for many things, especially Christmas treats.
Homemade Peppermint bark
For this sweet Christmas treat, you simply need some crushed peppermint candy, wax paper, an oblong pan and some chocolate melts. Put peppermint candy into a zip lock bag and use a hammer to crush the candy, or put it into a food processor and chop it. You want small pieces, but not fine pieces of candy. Prepare your pan by laying in a piece of wax paper on the bottom.
Melt your chocolate melts, in a double boiler or on the stove, pour it into the prepared pan, and quickly sprinkle the pieces of peppermint candy over the melted chocolate before it hardens. Set it into the refrigerator so that it will thicken up. Once it is solid, go ahead, break off pieces, and put them into an airtight container for transport. This is one sweet Christmas treat tradition you will want to start this Christmas.
For this sweet Christmas treat, you simply need some colored mini marshmallows, crushed nuts, wax paper, a bread pan, and some chocolate melts. Use a food processor or put the nuts into a zip lock bag and crush with a hammer, you just want small pieces not fine particles. Melt some chocolate melts in a double boiler or in the microwave in a large bowl, and prepare your pan with the wax paper.
When your chocolate is melted, take it out of the microwave or off the stove. Stir in the marshmallows and nuts right in the pan or bowl. Put this chocolate marshmallow and nut mixture into the bread pan and slide it into the refrigerator to set up. This is a traditional Christmas treat.
Christmas Chocolate Cake
You will need two round white cakes, chocolate pudding, cool whip, chocolate candy melts in brown, red, and green colors, a pastry bag, and some crushed Andes candy. Put one cake on a serving platter, spread some chocolate pudding on it, and top it off with the other cake to create a double layer cake. Melt the chocolate candy melts in a double boiler or in the microwave until melted and pour it over the cake.
As the chocolate runs down the cooled cake, it will coat the cake, creating a nice chocolate shell. You will let the chocolate run down the sides of the cake. Put the entire cake into the refrigerator to set up for about half an hour. Put some cool whip into a pastry bag and make a nice border around the bottom of the cake and around the border on top. Go ahead, melt the green and red chocolate melts, and drizzle them over the Christmas cake. This cake will look as if it came from a bakery, and it will be unique and simply elegant. Use it as a Christmas center piece for the feast.
All three of these Christmas chocolate treats will be very nice to show off, and you will be proud to say, yeah I did that. All you need is a bit of creative ideas, and you too can be a chocolate designer of festive Christmas treats everyone will love.
None of these Christmas treats, take long to create, and they will help to make your Christmas merrier this year.
