Farrah Fawcett funeral plans are not as heavily publicized as other funerals, but the Farrah Fawcett funeral is still on track. The Farrah Fawcett funeral is set for Tuesday, with arrangements made by Fawcett’s lover Ryan O’Neal. Though Farrah Fawcett’s funeral may still be overshadowed by Michael Jackson news, Farrah Fawcett will still get a proper goodbye and final farewells at her funeral, nonetheless.
Farrah Fawcett funeral details are starting to come through, as the funeral will be held on Tuesday, in Los Angeles, starting at 4 p.m California time. According to FOX News, the Catholic cathedral of Los Angeles, a.k.a. The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, will host Fawcett’s funeral service.
The Farrah Fawcett funeral is closed to the general public, and is an invite-only affair. Ryan O’Neal has been making all the arrangements for the funeral service.
Another point of interest was whether Fawcett and O’Neal’s jailed son, Redmond O’Neal, would be allowed to leave prison for the funeral. Redmond is currently serving time on drug charges, and was only able to say goodbye to his mother through phone calls in prison. But officials say that Redmond will be able to attend the Fawcett funeral, nonetheless, via a day pass.
The talk of Farrah Fawcett’s funeral, of course, is being overshadowed by Michael Jackson, just as her death was. Fawcett will likely get to have her funeral first, but by the time she is laid to rest, preparation for Jackson funeral coverage will already be under way, most likely.
Funeral plans for Jackson haven’t been announced yet, but the family is said to have been finalizing plans. It is unknown if their funeral will be private or invitation only too, but it may not be surprising if it isn’t.
For all the public attention Fawcett brought to herself to document her bout with cancer, the funeral plans and attention are a lot more muted by comparison. Most of that is by choice from the family, but some of it has to do with the Jackson shadow.
Farrah Fawcett spent her career, and the last few years of her life, letting herself get watched closely by cameras. For the end, at least, she gets to be laid to rest among friends and family and loved ones only.
