You could get fired for visiting certain websites
Your employer could fire you for visiting certain websites on the Internet. Your employer is responsible for most of your Internet activities that you do. You don’t want to view porn while at work. You don’t want to talk to minors about sex since it is illegal.
You could get into trouble for certain e-mails that you write
You don’t want to disclose business information via e-mail with friends or family. You could get fired for giving out certain business information. Your employer is able to see any e-mails that you send and receive from your work e-mail address. Don’t think that company e-mail is private at all because it isn’t private at all.
Your employer has the right to record everything that you do
Your employer can view everything that you do on the Internet. Your boss can be watching your computer screen like as if he was sitting there at the desk himself from his own desk. Software allows employers to see everything that you do on the computer. They can even read your personal e-mail. Why? Your employer has the right to do see everything that you do on the computer since it isn’t legally your computer. You don’t want the boss to find out what you do during your spare time. You don’t want the boss to find out what you really think of them during bad moods.
You don’t want to embarrass yourself
You don’t want the boss to find out about the party that you went to last night. You don’t want your boss to find out what you are sending to your friends that are supposedly private. Your boss knows what you do. Your boss can even see what you say in instant message to other people during breaks and lunch.
You don’t want your boss to know too much personal information about you
Be careful about what you let your boss know about you. You don’t want it to be used against you later. Don’t get too relaxed and think that your boss doesn’t know what you say about him on the computer. Don’t surf on the Internet when you shouldn’t be.
Don’t try to turn off the software that records everything that you do on your computer. Your employer would notice it immediately. You would end up getting written up or fired. You don’t want to give the impression that you are trying to cover up things.
