Tip 1) Let your body heal: After having multiple babies it is essential that you give your self more than just the usual 4-6 weeks to recuperate. You need as much time as you can take. Your body has been taken to the limit and your muscles need to return to a resemblance of their normal shape.
Tip 2) Once you feel ready, map out a routine that will fit you and your special circumstances.
Tip3) Start off your exercise routine with just 20 – 30 minutes and don’t over do it. The best thing to do is to start with stretches, and simple yoga moves. This will allow your body to slowly get used to the activity.
Tip 4) Once you are comfortable with the stretching you can attempt to tone your body with simple toning exercises, push ups, sit ups, leg lifts, bicep and triceps arm lifts. Start off with five or 10 reps and gradually build up to more as the weeks go on.
Tip 5) Exercise is important but you have to remember your eating habits. Try and get back into eating healthy if you have slacked off a little. Start small by snacking on vegetables, and fruit. Then change small things in your lunch and dinner, by having smaller portions of the meat and adding larger portions of the vegetables, and always remember that it is always good to have as many different color foods as you can. This is a good sign that you are eating more of your food groups.
Tip 6) Be patient with your body and yourself. You did not gain the weight quickly and you will not loose the weight quickly. Be realistic, take your time and have fun with it.
Tip 7) One good thing to do to assist with your weight loss is breast feeding, so breast feed your baby as much as you can. This helps you to loose weight.
Tip 8) One major thing that you need to do for your body is to get as much rest as you can. Being a mother of multiples must seem crazy, but enlist as many helpers as you can, because you need some time to your self.
Tip 9) Remember that just being with your baby, and walking around the house and up and down stairs is definitely considered exercise, so don’t count that out.
Tip 10) Walk as much as you can, if you can walk up stairs, or around the block, then try that. Walk and sing with baby, it will be fun for you and fun for the baby.
Note: Always consult your physician before doing any strenuous activity.
