A normal day of traffic is pretty hectic in Gwinnett County GA, but I’m sure on November 24th, it’s going to be a madhouse. Are you going to be one of the shoppers daring to go out the Day after Thanksgiving? If so, you may want to be prepared for the journey. Put on some comfortable clothes, lace up your tennis shoes and make sure you’ve had something to eat (and pack some snacks) because it’s going to be a busy morning.
Here are a few tips:
Map your route: A Take the times I have listed and plan your attack. What stores will you visit first? Which stores can be omitted? Many stores mentioned here all have similar ads. The stores I refer to are located in Lawrenceville, Dacula, and Buford.
Make a list: I have gone without a list and usually do not shop effectively.
Eat before you go: Okay, it sounds funny, but in your haste to get out the door if you don’t eat, you may pay for it later. You are going to use a lot of energy to fill up! People who do not eat end up becoming grumpy and then cannot focus on their mission. If you don’t eat breakfast, then pack something for later. Make sure you have a bottle of water with you.
Leave the Children at Home: Let’s not have to worry about little Suzi getting knocked around. Find a babysitter who will spend the night, leave them with Dad, find someone who can care for your kids. Just, please, don’t take them with you or leave them in the car.
Alright, onto the stores!
Kohl’s is a fabulous place to find bargains. I was there today and found Men’s shirts for $3.90 on the 80% off or more rack. The associate was stocking the clearance rack to make room for more inventory. I bought 6 shirts that would have cost me over $100 for $21.60!! Needless to say, I am almost done shopping for the man in my life! I asked if they were going to be marked down again for Black Friday and the associate said no. She also told me that since people are focusing on the ads, they tend to miss the great deals on the clearance racks. Big HINT!! Don’t forget the clearance racks!
Kohl’s opens at 4AM on Friday!! They are also offering Kohl’s cash. For every $50 you spend, you will get $10 gift coupon to spend Nov 25th- Dec 1st. That is like free money to spend after you stock up on gifts. My tip: I usually go and buy all my gifts, then give the certificates to my husband to put towards the gifts he will buy me.
