We have all heard of those “smart computer” and all of the great features that comes from them. However, the main reason why many people don’t have one is because of their price. In the past if you wanted a genuine “smart computer” than you were going to have to pay a “smart-computer price.”
And honestly, most of us can’t afford that. However, Hewlett-Packard heard the public’s cry for an amazing desktop computer, without an extremely high price-tag. And they answered our cry with the HP Pavilion Desktop with AMD Athlon 64 X2 Processor 4200+, Model: a6030n.
This computer has been called a “powerhouse desktop,” but why? This is because mainly all of the features that come within this machine are unlike anything we have ever seen before. Some of the features that make this computer a “powerhouse” is the AMD LIVE! Smarter Digital Entertainment system, which properly manages all of your digital files, whether they are music, video, photos or a cool combination of the three, this computer can handle it all.
It even has a 15-in-1 digital media reader that makes transferring any type of digital file extremely simple, that even the most novice of computer users can do. Another great feature of this computer is the processing system. You will be using one of the industries most powerful processors, the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core processor with 1 GB PC2-4200 DDR2 SDRAM, which is expandable up to 4GB. For those of you who know computers, and their insides, this is very exciting.
And for those of you who thought I was just making up letters and numbers, all you need to know is that you have never experienced a computer like this one. No matter what you are doing, or how many programs you are running at the same time, you will never experience a “lag” time or interference in your computing journey.
As stated earlier, this machine has a 15-in-1 media reader, which is located in the front of the tower. Some of the various media formats that are supported with this reader, includes Secure Digital, Mini Secure Digital, MultiMediaCard (as well as RS-MMC), CompactFlasy Type I/II, Memory Stick (including PRO and DUO), xD-Picture Card as well as Microdrive – just to name a few.
This computer also comes with 2 IEEE 1394 interfaces and a total of 7 high-speed USB 2.0 ports for extremely fast digital data transfer. You also get connectivity to the World Wide Web through the built-in 10/100Base-T Ethernet with RJ-45 connector as well as a 56 Kbps modem. There is not a wireless networking card built-in, so if you want to explore the Internet wirelessly, than you must install one manually, however, with desktops this usually isn’t an issue.
As you can see, this desktop computer is absolutely fantastic. Hewlett-Packard really went out of their way to ensure that all computer users can have a smart computer of their own. If you are in the market for buying a new desktop computer, but you aren’t sure where to start, this is a great starting point, and perhaps a very happy ending point. I hope that you have found this review helpful, and good luck finding that perfect desktop computer! Oh, and by the way, this computer averages around $530.00, just some food for thought.
