An International transport system was finally realized back int he 1800’s with the train and the Intercontinental railroad. This feat was celebrated through out the nation, but nothing to that extent has been achieved since that time. Are we OK with having an airplane system as our only way to get from one place to another? Are we truly OK with having a lackluster internal mobility system? I don’t believe we are. This idea of a bullet train has been suggested, bills created and vetoed, and even surveyors of the land have been taken to decide whether it was feasible to make this happen. Everything has come back very positive, but for some reason this has not happened. Why hasn’t it happened?
It hasn’t happened because we can not figure out how we as a nation could be able afford it. A project like this would cause a definite draw on the economy, unless we recreated and reinvented the infrastructure of both the educational system and the transportation system. This is the step by step plan on how to recreate the United States, and in the process guarantee work for a life time as well as educate every person in the United states.
Step 1) We must first look at the educational system. There are too many children in today’s day and age that do not see the value of education, and just adding a dollar figure to their success, is not going to increase their want to be educated. Therefore, we need to work on how to motivate students to want to learn. This exact idea is currently being looked into in the county school boards and the state educational teams as we speak.
So how do these teams propose we motivate students? The large amount of research that has been produced states that the best way to get a student motivated into his own education is to give them a choice.
Step 2) At the end of 8th grade every child in the United States gets a choice to either continue onto 9th grade or work on the Bullet Train system. If they choose the 9th grade path, they will be educated as the innovative educational teams of the nation deem necessary. They will learn the the requirements that are needed in an educated working society. This is not much different from how the schools are teaching the students now. However, with the “choice program” in full swing, the schools will be filled with people who want to be there, and parents who will be in attendance with them. Because the schools will not have to teach to the median anymore, the educational system will increase four fold. The students that graduate will be competitors in the international market, and will be a product of a top notch education system. The educated people of the United States will once again be a force to be reckoned with on the international scale of business and industry.
If a student ever wants to go back to school from working on the National Bullet Train, they are always encouraged and welcomed to. However, they will need to be trained in the educational environment that is expected of all people. Therefore, if they are 25 and decided to go back to school, they will start exactly where they ended. There is no short cuts dependent on age, race, creed, sexual orientation, or nationality.
Step 3) Once the student decided the Bullet Train path of education and life, he will be tested for mechanics, dexterity, and personal skills and aptitude. Given his scores and his ability he will be put to work with a crew. Every student is required to work on the Bullet Train system till they are 18 years old. After that, they are welcome to continue working with their crews. If this is the case, they will increase their pay and responsibilities. They are also welcome to decide to be educated, or go out and work in one of the main construction crews throughout the nation/
The worse case scenario is a student with no skills or aptitude for work. This student would be put doing something very very simplistic such as turning a screw. As they perfect this one skill, they will move up to others and others. All of the students who are working on this Monorail will be developing a skill, and creating a future in either the Bullet Train or a construction site somewhere. This student has the ability to become a foreman, or even better a pilot.
In essence this is not very different different from how the actual international railroad and the rails that strew across the country side were created. Back then, they used children, Chinese, recently freed slaves, and even women to construct the entire sprawling mess. We will be able to create this system in a mere few years, because we will be building upon ideas and thoughts that were developed by our ancestors. The country will have a 100% educated citizenship, and the best transportation system that has been devised.
