You can create your own Halloween Invitations in Microsoft Word. I was looking at some of the Halloween invitations online and they are really expensive. So I figured that I would make my own. So I did. Follow the steps below to create Halloween Invitations in Microsoft Word.
You will need to find some Halloween graphics or clipart to use for your invitations. You can do a search on Google and find many free Halloween graphics and clipart. Once you find the clipart that you want to use, save it to your computer. You can save most graphics and clipart by right clicking on the image and click Save As from the menu. Then save the graphic somewhere on your computer.
Open Microsoft Word and let it load. We will insert a table for our outline. This table will also give you an outline of where to cut your invitations.
Insert a table into your document. At the top of your window click Table > Insert > Table. In the table properties box, enter 2 columns and 4 rows.
Next we will change the background color of the table. I will use yellow for my color. You can use any color that you want. To change the background color of the table right click in the table. Click Borders and Shading from the menu. When the box opens, click the third tab which is Shading. Under the Fill Section, click the color that you want to use for your background. Then click OK to apply it.
You will need to insert another box to separate your Halloween graphic from your words. Once we are finished using this box we will hide it so that you can’t see the border. Click inside the first cell of your table. Then insert another table. Use two columns and one row.
You can place your graphic in the left column or the right column. Place your mouse in the column that you are going to place the graphic. Go to the top of your window and click Insert > Picture > From File. When the window comes up, locate the graphic on your computer that you want to use. Click the Insert button to insert it.
Next we will add the text to the invitation. This is completely up to you. You can type what you want for your invitation. You can change your font style, color, and size to make the invitation look better.
To hide the border of the second table that you inserted. Right click inside the table. Click Borders and Shading from the menu. Click on the first tab in the box that opens. Drop the color box down and select the color that you applied to your background. That will hide your second table border. Click OK to close the box.
That is it. Now you are ready to paste this table to the rest of your cells. Copy the table and paste it to the other tables. Then you can print your Halloween Invitations. If you have any questions about this guide, please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
