Step by Step put together your homemade ice cream:
1. In the quart sized Ziploc mix 1 cup of milk 2 tablespoons sugar and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla.
2. In the Gallon sized Ziploc bag put 2 cups of ice and ¼ cup of rock salt.
3. Place the quart size Ziploc inside the gallon size Ziploc with the salt and ice and jiggle it back and forth on your counter, turning and sloshing back and forth until the ice cream thickens. This will take about 5 minutes, maybe a little longer.
4. Take out the quart size Ziploc bag. Thoroughly wipe off the salt on the outside, open and mix in your favorite add ins.
This is a quick and easy way to make homemade ice cream. You can make multiple bags so each family member can make their own custom flavor or ice cream. Have a homemade ice cream party and let each guest make their own, choosing from a buffet of treats to stir into the finished ice cream.
