Step 1: Learn About Phoenix Lake, California

Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge is a very small town in the state of California. It has a steady population of about 5,123 people. Its summer climate is hot, like most of California. You should expect temperatures to range between the 50s and the 90s.

Step 2: Learn about Local Tourist Attractions

A great, low cost way to kick off your wild honeymoon is to plan a day touring some of the in-town tourist attractions. While Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge is a small area it does have a few tourist attractions that you may be interested in. You can go hiking, you can take photographs of natural wonders and wildlife, you can take a guided tour, or you can go mountain climbing. There are four national parks located within 130 miles of Phoenix Lake. The closest national park is Yosemite National Park. This park offers camping, exploring and wildlife adventures. Other national parks within a two and a half hour drive of Phoenix Lake include: Devils Postpile National Monument, Pinnacles National Monument and Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park.

Step 5: Tour Local Lakes

If you are interested in touring the local lakes then you have a lot of lakes to choose from. The lakes located within 15 miles of Phoenix Lake include: Lakewood Park Lake, Lyons Reservoir, Beardsley Lake, Sourgrass Lake and Catfish Lake. Each of these lakes offers you a selection of hiking, biking, boating and water sport adventures to choose from.
