First, go to www.myspace.com. Look near the top right-hand side of your screen and click on the orange button that says SIGN UP! On the next screen you will need to fill in all the boxes with the information requested. Make sure that your email address is typed in correctly. You will need to be able to receive email from Myspace in order to finish setting up your Myspace page. You will also need to make sure your password isn’t too easy for hackers to guess. I recommend using letters and numbers in your password. Next, you will need to click on the box next to where it says you agree to Myspace’s terms and conditions. Now click on the orange button that says Sign Up. Next you’ll need to Verify Your Account by typing in the box below the image, the letters shown in the image. If you have trouble reading the text that is in the image, you can click on the gray circle with two circling arrows inside it and it will give you another image. Once you’ve typed in the text you can click Continue to My Account.
The next screen will allow you to upload photos. If you don’t want to upload any photos you can click on Skip for now that is in blue located on the left-hand side below the box. To upload pictures, you’ll need to have photos already on your computer and know where they are stored. Most of the time when you upload photos to your computer, they are stored under the folder My Pictures. To upload your photo to Myspace click Browse…. If you are using Windows XP, you can get to My Pictures by clicking on My Documents shown on the left hand side of the box that will pop up and then double-click on the folder My Pictures. Find the picture that you want to upload, click on it and then click Open. The box on the left-hand side next to Browse… will have the path to where your picture is located on your computer. Next click on the button that says Upload.
After clicking Upload, the next screen to come up will say Invite Your Friends To Myspace! You can click Skip for now that is in blue located on the right-hand side at the bottom of the box. You should have an email from Welcome to Myspace. The subject line will read Myspace Account Confirmation. If you don’t see it in your inbox, try checking your bulk mail or junk/spam mailbox. If you don’t see an email from Welcome to Myspace, then you’ll need to go back to the screen that has Verify your email address! and then click on Click Here.
