Have you had periods in your life when you can’t help being negative about how your life is? I have on many occasions, even though usually I am a pretty upbeat person. Having these negative feelings once in awhile is normal, but when you let it take over your life you need to do something about it. You need to learn to find the positive to undo your negativity.
If someone triggers your negativity, such as being mad at your spouse, you need to step back, and realize the good things that they have done for you at some time. Most of the time the good will outweigh the bad and puts you back in a more positive frame of mind.
Sometimes stress has you down because you don’t see things getting any better. Well maybe you need to think that they could be worse. As bad as any situation gets it can usually be even worse. Maybe making a checklist of what is right in your life will snap you out of your negative mood.
Negativity left alone can eat you up inside. It can even slow down your bodily functions if you are not careful. When you are negative or upset over something, you tend to tense your body and this can prevent your blood from flowing correctly in your body.
This can also make your blood pressure go up, which can lead to more serious problems. This can lead to a heart attack left unchecked. High blood pressure can also give you headaches, which will in turn bring on more negativity.
Some people get so bitter due to being too negative in attitude. If you are one of these people, your friends may even have trouble dealing with you when you get this way. You don’t want to drive your friends away.
You cannot be as creative when you are in a negative frame of mind. This type of attitude locks the brain up and you need it open to create beautifully. They only type of things you will create with a negative attitude will be gloomy and dark in nature.
To go through life like it is drudgery, instead of a blessing will drag you down. It will not help you succeed at all. You have to see the bigger picture and find the good in life to work through this. You need to feel good about being alive.
Take one day at a time and promise yourself to stay in a positive mood, no matter what happens that day. Even in heavy stress situations this can work. Just say you are going to persevere your problems that day. Be the conqueror of problems and soon you will be so proud of yourself, that you cannot be negative anymore.
Look on the good side when dealing with your family and friends. Don’t try to nitpick the small things they do. They are human and are going to do things from time to time that aggravate you. But remember that you may aggravate them with a few actions too. Be forgiving a loving.
You will find that the more positive that you stay in your outlook in life, the happier you will become. This will also make your body healthier as it will function better even with how your blood flows through your veins. Your work loads will seem lighter too, because you are not dreading each task.
Greet each day with a smile and the enthusiasm to get you through your day. Make the most out of each moment in your day with a light heart. You will see that your positive attitude will rub off on the people around you. One of your smiles could brighten someone’s day who has themselves in a negative mode.
