The New York Times is sucking hind tit like the runt of the litter. What often happens to the runt of the litter? Left to natural forces, sans Man interfering, doesn’t the runt often fail to thrive, thus leading to its demise? Consult Animal Planet and get back to me. I’m certain one will agree with me.
When corporations do not make sound fiscal decisions, what happens to them, I mean at least in the era before Obama when everyone is “too big to fail?” When your product or service does not meet the needs of your target market, you fall flat on your face.
The NY Times has abandoned profitability in favor of political ideology, and they are falling like a ruptured duck, no? How are some of the other left-leaning dailies in the nation doing? Fairness demands acknowledgment that electronic media has overtaken print media, but the Liberal rags are a huge waste of trees in terms of earnings and viability.
MSNBC, ABC, NBC, etc., have abandoned profitability and viability in favor of ideology. Anyone, except a Lefty of course, disagree with my observation? There have been a plethora of stories over the recent years addressing this issue. Since CBS hired Katie Couric as anchor, haven’t there been reports that CBS News division is falling in profitability?
GE is hurting badly, but they have a golden parachute as it were. Obama! In an incestuous marriage of ideology and piss poor fiscal management Jeffrey Imelt, GE’s CEO, has jumped into bed with Barack. I wonder if Michelle is thrilled with the potential for the proverbial menage a trois? I know as an American I am less than pleased with the thought of Obama and Imelt double-teaming my whole nation!
Political ideology led to the Fannie, Freddie and housing mess. The Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) had a huge hand in it. The CRA is an ideologically driven political idea turned social effort. Ahhhh . . . social efforts rear their ugly heads in economy, and suddenly we have a huge mess on our hands. Who could have seen this coming?
How’s the banks doing? No problems there right? The financial sector’s mess is a direct result of government meddling in housing and that leading to the Fannie & Freddie debacle. The finance industry holds the housing notes; housing goes south; money dries up; banks lose money; all we see today is a direct result of Leftmost bureaucratic meddling and the driving of a political agenda, to the detriment of the entire world economy,
How are the Big Three doing? Once partisan government gets in the mix (the CRA and Dem demands for more housing for the poor) those famous unintended consequences I wrote about last month start seeping out of the woodwork, just like the verminous cats that came up with this boondoggle. The housing bust led to the crash of confidence and lending, and that is driving a knife in the hearts of the car companies.
And to carry this argument to its logical end, hasn’t this crop of government Big Wigs screwed up the nation’s finances as well, and really big time to boot?
Leftist ideology is responsible for most of this mess. And now that the Leftmost of the Left are running the nation and economy, how are we doing? Remember, the Lib nonsense of the CRA is the root of all this. Add in Lib fiscal irresponsibility, $1.8 Trillion in deficit spending IN THE FIRST THREE MONTHS of this Obamanation and the insane health care, foreign policy, etc., and hold on tight folks.
If ya thought the last nine months were a bumpy ride, you better pull your helmet’s chin strap extra-tight. If we cannot make these usurpers fear for their political lives and start acting like adults instead of the petulant children they manifest to be, the somewhat smooth sailing of life as an American will suddenly become a third world thrill ride.
It’s coming friends. I wish it wasn’t but it is. And as my proof of that contention, haven’t the Lefties gone kinda silent about a lot of this? The only mentions of what goes on in mainstream “Obama Media” is when they can say “The groundwork for this was laid at the feet of the Bush Administration,” or when they report “Obama’s ‘X’ action is reviving the mess left by Bush,” etc.
If they can’t blame Bush or the Republican Congress for a bad situation’s origins, or if they can’t lay claim that Obama’s acts are fixing the Bush mess, they don’t say a whole lot now do they?
And is that not the result of ideology superseding business sense? To report the news that comports with the ideology of those making the decisions on what to report upon?
How would my business be doing if I made clear to my customers that my overriding business concern were to further my political ideology, or that in any decision undertaken for the advancement of my business I used my political ideology as the yardstick by which to measure an act’s value or effectiveness?
Sounds like a great way to go broke to me, and if we watch a lot of this nation’s business and industry and we add in the governmental spending to fund their pet projects, DESPITE our failing economy at present, are these things NOT the epitome of letting ideology supersede sound business practice? Sure seems so to me!
Sound business practice is not subject to political ideology in as much as if left alone business will thrive or fail on the merits of the good or service, and not in any way upon the ideology of the decision makers. The minute ideology gets involved in any practice relating to business or how government spends OUR MONEY, we see what we currently are enjoying.
Sound fiscal governing has been left by the wayside in favor of ideological criteria for determining how government spends OUR MONEY. But to use ideology only serves those who favor or adhere to the ideology driving the concept. What about the 47% of Americans who did not sign on for this crap? We get to swing.
And yes, of course I acknowledge that Conservative governing lends to Conservatives spending everyone’s money how the Conservative deems just, but no Party, prior to this crop of usurpers, have ever, at least in the modern era, engaged in what we see these valiant Libs doing today – NEVER.
And therein is the proof for my article’s contentions. Ideology will bring us to our knees. Ideology is only fair in determining which concepts LEAD THE WAY. Ideology should not then usurp all manner of traditional governing. Governing should be from the center, with a slight lean to the side of the controlling ideology. But NOT a complete and total usurpation of all the previous 230 years have held. And that complete usurpation is what we see today.
It will surely be our end if we do not stop these creatures from their misguided ideological governance.
