Jon and Kate Gosselin’s marriage problems are heating up! And they are making an announcement on Monday’s episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8. Is the couple headed for divorce? Will they really separate? Or is it all a ploy to get us to watch? They’ve got me! I’ll be watching for sure!

I have a feeling the outcome for this couple will be a good one. I think I’m the only person on the planet who thinks their marriage will survive. I think the big June 22 episode announcement is going to be something like “Jon and Kate seek professional counseling” or “Jon and Kate have decided to end their top rated hit show.” Okay, I doubt very much that they’ll actually end the show. Who can give up a reported $75,000 per episode. Oh, that’s right, really good parents who want to keep their family together for the sake of eight small children may want to give up fortune and fame. Hmmm… it’s a tough call!
One thing we know for sure, or almost sure, is that Monday’s “announcement” episode is guaranteed to bring in big ratings. It may not top their season opener but I bet it comes close. And who knows… it may even beat it!
This whole reality genre is sure proving to be quite an attention grabber. And I am a complete addict. I feel like I am part of the Jon and Kate family! I know all their kids’ names and birthdays (that’s easy since there are only two dates to remember between eight kids!) and their special quirks (yes Kate, we all know Maddie is a drama queen and will make a “lovely” teenager). But when their marriage problems cause me to lose sleep I think it’s time for me to start watching something else!
No matter what happens to Jon and Kate Gosselin, I’m sure we will continue to get updates for the rest of their lives. I can’t wait for Oprah to interview the twins and sextuplets when they are adults. Some will be normal, some will have problems, some say growing up in front of the world was great, some will never speak to their parents again. I can’t wait!!!
