The agricultural heritage of the small farming community of Lanesville, Indiana, is the foundation from which the annual Lanesville Heritage Festival was founded. The festival, which began in 1976 as just a small display of farm equipment, now draws crowds nearing 70,000 to its three-day event.
The event features not only the antique tractors which began the tradition 32 years ago, but also a variety of displays, a hot air balloon race, an eight mile run as well as a five and two mile walk. No matter what you’re craving, the Lanesville Heritage Festival has an activity which satisfies your every need.
The committee for the 2007 Lanesville Heritage Festival has announced the schedule of events, as well as a list of the special demonstrations that will be taking place. So pack up the kids and take a trip off to the country to explore some Indiana heritage!
