An announcement has been made that there is going to be a change in the way advertising is done in London. They are going to implement a new plan that will enable companies to advertise in the subway tunnels for a much cheaper price. This is because they are implementing an update of technology that allows for them to make more money by providing the service to more companies. What is happening is that London is going to light up nearly a half-kilometer-long LED panel display. This display will be located between the Heathrow and Paddington Stations in the London subway system. The new LED display is going to enable London to advertise more companies.
The current way that advertising has been done in the panel is with a more static version. Basically, once an advertisement was purchased, workers had to enter the tunnel and place up the new adds into the wall display. The currently planned installation of 360 individual LED bars that are synchronized to train speeds will allow for an easier way to change the advertisements. Incorporation of a large LED display will allow subway officials the ability to change an advertising message without having to remove signs the old fashioned way. The digital screen means that there can be a large rotation of ads, allowing the subway to do more business with several companies than just a few.
What the end result happens to be is that both the company and subway make more money. Companies who wish to advertise get to save their money and thus can put it towards other areas of advertising that can create even more money for them. The subway makes more money because they can now handle the large demand that there always has been. It has been a long process to come up with a way to fill the needs of these companies.
