Ok, indulge me a little, I’m a Mother of three youngsters and Mother’s day is just around the corner. If money were no object, which it is, these would be the Top 5 gifts on my wish list.
Vacation to Italy alone
I’ve been there before, it’s fabulous but I would love to go back and explore more of this most wonderful country . I love so much about it ~ the food, the music, the people and the scenery. Aah bliss, for one, maybe two weeks just poking around the sights just by myself. If truth be told though, I would be desperately missing my kids after one day without them, even if, at this moment I sometimes just crave 5 minutes alone to use the bathroom! I have for a long time now been trying to learn the language and would love to become fluent in Italian. Spending time in Italy would be a great opportunity to be immersed in the language and develop my spoken Italian.
The economy and the stock market is in a bad way at the moment, so now is the perfect time to buy stock, it makes sense to buy into those companies that you love and will always want to thrive because you use them regularly. Going on my stock wish list would be Cheesecake Factory and Tiffany’s. Ok, I don’t shop at Tiffany’s but it would just be really cool to own Tiffany stock!
I love the look of this car and I love Volvo’s safety record, being on the road in California can be quite scary these days, I would love to be able to bundle my kids up in this car knowing that they are in one of the safest cars in the world. A bigger price tag than I can afford but what piece of mind owning this car would give this Mom.
iRobot Roomba 560
I’ve always wanted one of these ever since they first came out but could never justify buying one while I still have my old faithful manual vacuum cleaner (and me) to push around the house. There is something for me about having one of these Roomba’s that would feel so luxurious, just the thought of sitting on the couch and watching a machine doing your housework for you. Now that’s a great Mother’s day gift!
A spa weekend
A weekend away at a very exclusive, fancy spa would be a wonderful Mother’s Day gift. Lots of pampering, relaxing and time for myself in comfortable surroundings sounds wonderful right about now. I would indulge in facials, massages and be primped and preened, just chilling out for the weekend and be rested and rejuvenated to return to my mom duties with gusto.
I don’t expect to get any of these gifts on my wish list for Mother’s Day but that’s ok, it’s nice just to dream sometimes!
