Thanks to some friends of the family, my husband and I were able to visit Disneyland on June 9, 2009. My sister, brother-in-law and their five children were all out here on their summer vacation to Disneyland and we wanted to spend time with them. The Disneyland pass that we had allowed us to visit Disneyland and California Adventure from 8 a.m. until midnight. It was a beautiful day that was slightly overcast, but perfect because it wasn’t too hot and it wasn’t too cold.
I was surprised to see how busy both Disneyland and California Adventure parks were. It seems like you have to go to Disneyland at least four days in a row to see everything. If you ever travel from out of town or state to Disneyland, make sure you purchase a three day pass especially in the summer.
We decided within an hour to head over to California Adventure. If you ever get the pass to visit both parks, it best to head to California Adventure first. Many people tend to go Disneyland first and then head over to California Adventure, which makes California Adventure less crowded during the morning.
As we walked into California Adventure, I noticed some changes. I have heard that they are changing the whole Paradise Pier around. I was excited to get a look at the progress of the “World of Color” water fountain show in Paradise Pier that will be opening sometime in March of 2010. The picture in this article is the construction going on for the “World of Color” water fountain show.
A cast member from California Adventure said that the new water show will be in the evening and lasting about 18 minutes and there will be a great display of dancing fountains. These dancing fountains are going to take shape of every Disney character that you can imagine. There will also be movie projections and lighting effects that are going to be spectacular. The music will be based on the Sherman Brothers. The Sherman Brothers wrote motion-picture musical songs, which include Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Jungle Book, and The Aristocrats. They are also building a hug amphitheater to hold the thousands of guests that will want to watch this fantastic water show.
Signs are also posted on the construction walls for the new Little Mermaid ride that will be opening sometime in 2011. This is going to be very exciting for anyone who is an Ariel fan. It seems like there are always changes going on at the California theme parks. This is what makes it exciting for everyone to keep coming back. We can enjoy all the favorite attractions, keep in our memory the attractions that have been discontinued, and enjoy the new attractions. What a wonderful place to visit.
