Opposition from Both Sides Making Hillary Clinton’s Presidency Improbable

by wet bin

Since I have worked in the past as a political science teacher, and worked as a political advisor for a large company, I have found that I can speak as an expert in some fields in politics. There are major negative implications for the Democratic Party since Hillary Clinton is the frontrunner for their Primaries.

If Hillary Clinton wins the Democratic nomination for the 2008 Presidential Election, there is a strong possibility that the Republicans will have a better chance in their quest to hold onto the Presidency. The Republicans are hoping that Hillary Clinton wins the Democratic nominations since they believe that she would be the easiest opponent to beat.

There are multiple polls that have been done across the United States about which candidates a person would not vote for. All of these polls have pointed to a similar number averaging out to 45 percent of voters that stated that they would not vote for Hillary Clinton. This does not look good for the Democrats since she is the frontrunner for their Primary.

The goal of any election is to gain the largest base of voters standing behind you. The more opposition that a candidate has against him or her, the worse off that candidate will be. While a candidate knows that there will be opposition that will state that they will never vote for a certain candidate, the goal is to have this number as small as possible.

The Republicans that have stated that they would never vote for Hillary Clinton will continue to state that they believe that she is the worst candidate for President. They will point to the past scandals that plagued the Clinton Whitehouse, and to the scandals that have surfaced since. The Democrats will have a very hard time attempting to convince these Republicans to vote differently.

The Democrats who believe that Hillary Clinton is the worst possible candidate have most likely made up their mind to either vote for a Republican if she wins the Primary, or to vote for an independent candidate. So far, these voters have not been a strong focus for Hillary Clinton’s campaign. If anything, they should be one of the main focuses of the campaign.

Instead, Hillary Clinton has been placing a lot of focus on those groups of people that have already decided to follow her in her quest for the Presidency. She has been placing most of her focus on charging up those that already believe that she should be the President. This is invigorating the Republican Party.

The Republicans realize that the more people who state that they will not vote for Hillary Clinton, the more people that will vote for the Republican candidate. The Republican candidate will be able to run a campaign that will not only appease the people that already support him, but also appease the people that are standing against Hillary Clinton.

It is surprising from a political aspect that there would be so many people that would back Hillary Clinton in the Primaries even though there are so many that are standing against her. The opposition that she is facing will make it very difficult for her to reach the Presidency if she wins the Democratic Primary. While not completely impossible, with the current numbers against her, it would be improbable for Hillary Clinton to win the Presidency if she were to win the Democratic Primary.
