Lets Kids Do the Decorating
! Children 2 Years Old+ can Do this Part:
Help them draw to eyes on the clothespin with a marker. Next. they can dot the clothes pin with different colors of marker.
When the body of the dragon fly is all decorated, wrap one pipe cleaner around the open part of the clothespin. Do the same on the other side. Bend the pipe cleaners at the end to make tiny feet. These are the dragonfly’s legs.
Next, help the child place the accoridan-like strip of the metallic cupcake paper and the tissue paper between the pinchy part of the clothes pin. Show them how to spread out the papers to make the colorful and shiny wings.
Make a collection of dragonflies.
This is one craft that should not be left alone with a toddler. Clothespin crafts need supervision, since curious toddlers can easily pinch themselves iwht the clothespins.
