Nonbelievers of the paranormal often try to discredit those who claim to have paranormal experiences, and it’s for this reason that many who have experienced the paranormal don’t share their experiences with others. First of all they’re afraid they won’t be believed, and worse yet, they’re afraid they’ll be thought of as mentally questionable.
I have personally experienced dozens of unexplainable happenings over the years, and whether or not I’m believed by others doesn’t matter to me. I know I’m an intelligent educated individual, and I also know the experiences I had were real. Just because paranormal experiences can’t be explained doesn’t mean they didn’t occur and should be discounted as imaginary. In this world are many unexplained happenings, and most will never be completely understood or explained.
Although I’ve had many paranormal experiences over the years, the experience that stands out the most in my mind occurred in an apartment I lived in approximately 13 years ago. My entire family experienced strange occurrences on a daily basis, and many of these paranormal occurrences were often witnessed by more than one person simultaneously.
The Mysterious Moving Object
The apartment I lived in with my husband and three kids didn’t seem out of the ordinary, but what we saw almost every evening couldn’t be explained. At first we didn’t think what we saw was paranormal in nature, and the possibility of a ghost never occurred to us, but with everything else that happened within our apartment, there was no other rational explanation.
From our living room we could see the hallway that led to two bedrooms, one of which was across from the bathroom. The hallway was parallel to the living room, and it was tiled with ordinary old-fashioned square tiles. While watching television we could see the hallway through our peripheral field of vision.
What we saw was an object rapidly shooting from one end of the hall to the other. It went from our bedroom to the bathroom over and over, and it was very close to the floor. It moved so rapidly it was impossible to tell what it was, and most of the time it was only visible out of our side vision. It didn’t seem like a solid object, but at the same time it was clearly visible. This also made us question whether we were actually seeing an object. In my mind it could have been an illusion, and that’s why I didn’t take it seriously – until other strange things began happening in our apartment.
The Skipping Boy
One evening in particular I put my son to bed in our bedroom since it was often difficult to get three kids to fall asleep in one room. It was a small apartment for five people, and this bedtime strategy seemed to work the best. As usual, I planned to move my son into his own bed after he fell asleep.
While my husband and I were watching TV, we were suddenly surprised by what appeared to be a child skipping energetically from our bedroom to the bathroom. We both looked at this child directly from across the room, and we both agreed that he appeared to be wearing a blue and white outfit with what looked like a yellow vest. My son was wearing blue and white pajamas, but he wasn’t wearing anything yellow, and I thought for a moment that he was out of bed. The child we saw was the same size and height of my son, but he looked like a blur going by. He looked two-dimensional, for lack of a better description, but I still wondered if my eyes were playing tricks on me, and I thought it could have been my son. He never returned from the bathroom. I checked to see if my son was up, but when I entered the bedroom he was sound asleep in our bed, and he wasn’t wearing anything yellow. It was then that I realized something paranormal was definitely occurring in our apartment.
Many other more trivial paranormal occurrences took place in our apartment, and in time I finally realized what the object was that appeared to shoot from the bathroom to the bedroom. After seeing what appeared to be the apparition of a child, I believe the object was a ball. A ghostly child seemed to be playing with an invisible playmate in another dimension within our apartment home.
