Sometimes you don’t know what you’re craving. Sometimes it seems like more of an emotional issue rather than a hunger issue. Sometimes it is an emotional issue.
Chocolate makes people happy. “…Much of the chocolate consumed today is made into bars that combine cocoa solids, fats like cocoa butter, and sugar. Chocolate has become one of the most popular flavours in the world. Gifts of foiled wrapped chocolate molded into different shapes have become traditional on certain holidays: chocolate bunnies and eggs are popular on Easter, coins on Hanukkah, Santa Claus and other holiday symbols on Christmas, and hearts on Valentine’s Day. Chocolate is also used in cold and hot beverages, to produce chocolate milk and cocoa.
Chocolate contains alkaloids such as theobromine and phenethylamine, which have physiological effects on the body. It has been linked to serotonin levels in the brain. Scientists claim that chocolate, eaten in moderation, can lower blood pressure…” (Wilkipedia Chocolate) Ah, so it has the ability to increase seratonin; We always knew it.
I have a product that is a very simple product. It is very tasty and it is capable, apparantly, of raising your seratonin levels.
“Pearson’s Mint Patties Made with Real Chocolate” is a great product. It only costs 99 cents for 43 miny patties or a little 2 ½ cents per patty; not bad; not nad at all.
A serving size of this product is considered to be five pieces. There are roughly nine servings per 99 cent, or, 12 ounce net weight bag. This is also a weigh-out at 340 grams. The candy pieces come in a very sturdy plastic printed bag.
This candy isn’t as bad for your waistline as you may think. For the five mint serving you are only looking at 150 calories of which only 25 calories come from fat. This yields only 2 ½ grams of fat per serving of which 1 ½ are from saturated fat.
I was very impressed to see a blurb on the bag which read “…Allergy Information…Manufactured in a facility that processes peanuts and milk products…” I thought that was very thoughtful and, in fact, was the first time that I had ever seen a write-up like that.
“Pearson’s Mint Patties Made With Real Chocolate” is a wonderful candy treat. It is good all the time, but, you may want to consider buying several bags this time of year with Halloween at your doorstep; so to speak. It is nice to know that it will only cost you a couple of cents to provide a nice “treat” that really isn’t too bad for the “treaters”. Oh, and between Halloween visitors, you can raise your seratonin levels.
