Public Swimming Pools in the Sacramento California Area

Sacramento, California is known for its high summer temperatures, and when those temperatures start soaring over a hundred degrees, it is most comforting to have a swimming pool to go to. It does make to body feel good to cool off in such a way, and it’s fun, too.

Here is a list of many of the pools in the Sacramento, California area to help you choose a pool that is close to your location.

1. City of Woodland Community Swim Center

This pool is located at:

115 N. West Street, and is adjacent to the Woodland High School.

The website is:

http://cityofwoodland.org/ click on The Spot-Youth Center and you’re good to go; from swimming lessons to public swimming.

Public swim rates are:
Swimmer rate – $2.50
Spectator rat – $1.00
Individual pass – $50.00
Family pass – $110.00

Hours:
Monday – Friday 1-4 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday 12-4 p.m.
Friday night 7-9 p.m.

For birthday parties, there is a shaded area for the pool that can be reserved for $40.00, and includes admission coupons for up to 15 people during public swim. If more that 15 people will be attending, additional coupons can be purchased at a discount.

2. Highlands Community Pool

This pool is located at:

From lap swim to water aerobics, and recreational public swimming to the swim team, this pool offers it all.

For lap swim and public swim the fee is $2.00 per person, or you can purchase a $45 pool punch card and get 31 visits.

On Tuesday and Thursday nights, from 7:45 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.the whole family can enjoy an evening at the pool. The cost for this is $1.50 per person. This is family swim time and all children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

3. Parks and Recreation Department maintains many pools through Sacramento. The web site is http://www.cityofsacramento.org/parksandrecreation/index.htm. Click on Programs at Pools, then Aquatics, and you will get a complete listing of these pools in Sacramento.

Admission:
Children and teens through 17 years old is $1.00
Adults 18 and older $2.00
