As with many of the attractions in the city, Reno, Nevada’s strips joints are often overlooked in comparison to the gentlemens’ clubs in Las Vegas.
But, as is befitting the so-called “biggest little city in the world”, pound for pound, Reno does quite well for itself. While there aren’t an endless supply of strip clubs in Reno, as there seems to be in strip club meccas such as New York City, there are a number of very good ones that attract their own fair share of visitors from both natives and tourists alike.
The following is a guide to the four best strip clubs in Reno, Nevada.
1060 Telegraph Street
Goldfinger is the biggest, brashest, most luxurious and newest strip joint in Reno. Opened in 2008, Goldfinger features six large stages, packed with the hottest strippers in Reno.
This place has thought of every possible thing; they have addressed every imaginable need and detail. Starting with the most obvious attractions, Goldfinger offers three levels of entertainment, six champagne rooms, eight VIP skyboxes and a number of ‘friction booths’, which is a term I was previously unfamiliar with, but that promises a great time. In some ways, the best parts of Goldfinger, however, are the little details. They offer, for example, a free shuttle service, called the Goldfinger Party Bus, to and from the Reno airport. It also has 25 televisions, perfectly positioned to allow customers to view sporting events.
Couples and women are admitted free, and as a result you see quite a few females here, more than what you would expect at any strip joint. One of the major attractions here, which makes it great for both client meetings and bachelor parties, is the restaurant known as The Trophy Room. With high end dining, including great steaks and seafood, the Trophy Room would stand on its own as a high end restaurant.
Of course, the bottom line is the cast of strippers. As you might imagine from the rest of this description, Goldfinger does not disappoint. There is a wide variety here, but the common denominator is that they are very friendly, even a bit aggressive, and clearly want to make use of the high number of private rooms and areas.
Wild Orchid Gentlemens Club
515 South Virginia Street
While the Wild Orchid can be a bit a of a ‘hit or miss’ type of place, depending on the night (weekends are generally better), the number of dancers and all all the other randomness that the strip club experience is dependent on, it is definitely a Reno strip club stalwart and one of the most popular ones in the city.
Along with two other strip clubs, nearby Fantasy Girls and Diamond Dolls (both reviewed below), Wild Orchid’s cover charge includes admission to all three, and customers can rotate between.
1095 4th Street
Fantasy Girls offers a total party atmosphere. Events such as bachelor parties, post casino celebrations and even exciting couples’ “date nights” are a common occurrence here. They put on quite a show, with a large stage and plenty of audience participation. While not a comedy act, Fantasy Girls offers some funny moments as the groom to be, and at times even women, are pulled up on stage to enjoy a wild dance.
There are private areas as well, though most of what goes on here is in public and is a raucous good time. The strippers are very friendly and there is never the feel of a ‘hustle’ going on, but rather a group party.
310 Spokane Street
Diamond Dolls is a small, intimate place that is usually not very crowded. As a result, most visits here are notable for having very personalized treatment and fun. Diamond Dolls does not really offer the party atmosphere of Fantasy Girls or Wild Orchid’s; it’s more a place for a quite, one on one experience.
As mentioned, a single cover charge covers Diamond Dolls, Fantasy Girls and Wild Orchid, and often people will go to the other two of this trio first and then arrive here for a nightcap.
So if you are visiting Reno, Nevada, you’re likely to want to do more than gamble. If you are looking for some great adult entertainment, these strip joints offer a great time.
