Arby’s in Lake Charles, LA is a bit more of an upscale fast food place, but it is still enjoyable for the whole family.
The interior of Arby’s looks like most any other fast food place. There are booths and tables for sitting. There are even a few of those really high tables with the really tall chairs. It seems that they are trying to make a section that has a little bit of a coffee house feel.
The booths are probably the most comfortable spots to sit. They are cushioned with the plastic cushions most restaurant booths use. They are reddish brown in color, matching the rest of the décor.
At the front of the restaurant is where the orders are taken and behind that is the part that would be considered the kitchen.
Just behind that is the soda fountain. Arby’s has Pepsi products. Also, the napkins, straws, cup lids, and sauce pumps are located on that little “island.” Rather than giving out the small bags of sauce like they do when you drive through to pick up food, Arby’s has pumps of ketchup and Arby’s sauce.
The service at Arby’s is pretty much self serve. You go up to the counter to order and then wait for the food to be served at the counter. After that, you take the food to your own table and get your own condiments.
At times, the service at Arby’s is a bit slower than what is expected at a fast food restaurant, but it is usually not too slow unless they are low on employees.
The majority of the food offered at Arby’s are Roast Beef Sandwiches of some types. They can come alone or in a meal. They can have Arby’s sauce, cheese, and bacon on them. The Arby’s sauce is standard for any of the roast beef sandwiches.
Arby’s has also started offering chicken, garden fresh sandwiches, garden fresh wraps, and sides other than French fries. The sides are potato cakes, fried cheese sticks, loaded potato bites, onion petals, and jalapeño bites.
There are also plenty of shakes and desserts offered if they are wanted.

The food is quite filling. Just a small order of fried cheese sticks along with a roast beef sandwich and fries is a filling meal. Arby’s is a little bit more expensive than a regular fast food restaurant. Two people can eat comfortably for $20 while four people may need up to $40.
