My husband and I recently visited Peach Tree restaurant for dinner. As soon as we arrived, our waitress directed us to our seats and brought our drinks over within moments of ordering them, which we thought was very quick and efficient. We decided to order two specials for $14.95. My husband ordered Chicken Fried Steak, while I opted for the Teriyaki Chicken. We had the option of soup or salad, and a choice of baked potatoes, mashed potatoes or chips. We both ordered a side salad. I asked for a baked potato, whereas my husband settled for the mashed potatoes.
As soon as the waitress took our orders, she returned shortly afterwards with our salads. She was very efficient and attentive during the course of our meal.
When our meals arrived, we could not believe how large the portions were. My meal consisted of two chicken breasts smothered in a sweet Teriyaki sauce, sautéed mushrooms, onion and tomato. The potato tasted freshly cooked, rather than reheated and the meal came with a portion of sweet corn and bread rolls. My husband’s Chicken Fried Steak also came with sweet corn.
The meal was delicious and very filling. I particularly liked the vegetables smothered on the chicken. They were cooked well and the onion still had a slight crunch to it, which I like. My husband said that he liked his meal as well. But he was unable to complete his meal.
