This is my impression of Anew Clinical Advanced Wrinkle Corrector. I normally do not like Avon products and have a slew of friends and relatives who try to persuade me to buy from them. I normally resist because if I buy from one friend then the other one will be mad that I didn’t buy from them. But I kept hearing good thing about this product from people who weren’t trying to sell me anything so I gave in a bought some.
The container is not very exciting, just white glass with a grey lid. It feels really heavy though, but it’s not from the amount of product inside. It’s because the glass container is thick and has a thick “hidden” bottom as well. So it looks like you’re getting a lot more product than you really are.
I used it at night before going to bed. I was a bit leery at first because my skin is pretty sensitive and there wasn’t anything mentioned about sensitive skin, but I didn’t have any problems with itching or redness.
The cream itself is a slightly off-white color. It’s not as thick and creamy as some of the other products I’ve used, but at least it wasn’t runny either. It did slide onto my skin well enough, but the texture could have been a bit silkier in my opinion.
I did notice a slight scent that, while not totally unpleasant, wasn’t very appealing to me. As a rule I do not like scented face cream. Note to all face cream developers: save the scent for body lotion or bath products … I don’t need for my face to smell good!
The cream soaked into my skin nicely and quickly. There wasn’t any sticky or gummy residue left on my face after about ten minutes. I noticed right away that my skin seemed a bit firmer. My skin also felt very nourished and moisturized, so I didn’t feel the need to use an extra moisturizer. The next morning my skin felt nice and soft.
After about a week I did notice some fullness being restored to the fine lines around my eyes and on my forehead. The deeper lines are still there and don’t seem to be budging any.
After 2 weeks I noticed my skin feels like it has more elasticity, which is nothing to sneeze at! I’m in the over 40 age bracket and my skin tends to want to hang on to those overnight crease lines left from my pillow longer and longer!
After 3 weeks the lines around my mouth are disappearing and those deeper lines around my eyes and forehead are showing signs of improvement … but sadly I’m out of cream and need to buy more. This is not very acceptable and I think the product is a bit over priced for the amount of cream you get. I paid about $30.00 for 1.7 fl oz bottle and can’t afford to use it on a regular basis but I do recommend it if you have the money to spend.
Bottom line: I am pretty amazed at the results though and think Anew Clinical Advanced Wrinkle Corrector does a good job helping out with the fine lines and wrinkles. If you can afford the $30 price tag, go ahead and give it a try. I guess it’s cheaper than botox!
