Review of the Outback Steakhouse

by wet bin

I had never eaten at The Outback Steakhouse until my husband told me about how delicious their steaks are and how much he loved to eat their but could hardly find the time to go out to eat at a nice restaurant.

We had only been married for about two months and it sounded interesting enough. I had to try them after I heard a lot of my family and friends talking about them and how delicious that their meals are.

After getting dressed and getting the children dressed, my husband and I called in to reserve a table for seven. It was on a Friday night and my husband said that their restraint is usually busy and therefore we needed to reserve a spot so that we aren’t waiting a long time for a table.

Once we arrived at The Outback Steakhouse, we were greeted at the door by a hostess who was holding the door open. She pointed us to a pool pit where a man was standing who had an Outback logo on his shirt. When we approached the man, he asked us for our names and then asked us to take a seat and he would get us a table as soon as one was available.

All though we had reserved a table there, we still had to wait. Being placed at a table for two is much easier than being placed at a table for seven. We had no choice but to wait.

I noticed that some of the people who where sitting down waiting for a table, had a square object in their hand. This square object had a red light that kept going around it. I asked what it was and my husband said that it is a pager to let people know when their table is ready. When your table is ready, the red light moves faster and faster around the edge of the square object.

After waiting for a meir forty minutes, it was time for us all to be seated. Once seated, a waiter came by and asked us if we knew what we wanted to drink and if we wanted an appetizer. My husband suggested that we eat the coconut shrimp. I agreed since I never eaten it before.

The coconut shrimp was amazing. It had a very peculiar taste to it but at the same time, it was a wonderful taste. The waiter came back ever so often to check on us and to refill our drinks. When our main course arrived, I was already full from eating the coconut shrimp. I didn’t know if I would be able to eat anything else.

I had ordered the New York Strip and my husband ordered the Sirloin Steak while the kids all ate off of the kids menu. The meals where good but I could not finish my entire meal so I had to get a box to put the rest of it in. My husband’s meal was also good, I had to be a taste tester just to see how good it was.

Till this day, we still go eat at The Outback Steakhouse. We usually end up getting the same table because of our large family.

I learned to not go there on a Friday night. Because of their popularity, it takes a while before you are able to sit at a table.
