Holidays Lights Tree Lighting Ceremony
The Presido is having their holiday lights tree lighting ceremony on December 7th this year at 5:30 PM. This is a very festive decades old tradition. Attendees can sing and bask in the fun as the tree is lit for the first time. A few refreshments will be served at the Presido fire station after the event. The Holiday Lights Tree Lighting Ceremony is free to the public. Saks Fifth Avenue Christmas Lights
One might not usually think that a department store would be a good place to go light looking, but those that live in a major city know otherwise. Saks Fifth Avenue in San Francisco goes all out to have a beautiful light display outside their store. Sometime in the beginning of December, Saks light display lights up the San Francisco night sky. This is a completely free holiday light display to view. Saks Fifth Avenue is located at 384 Post Street San Francisco , CA 94108. Deacon Dave’s House Of The Dove
Deacon Dave’s may very well be the largest display of holiday lights in the bay. There are over 250,000 thousand lights at Deacon Dave’s! Reverend Deacon Dave has been lighting up House of the Dove for the community for 25 years. There is no fee to view the beautiful light displays. You can even go inside the gates and see more light displays then you can from the street. It is wheelchair accessible. Hours for Deacon Save’s are Sunday through Thursday 6 PM to 9:30 PM, Friday and Saturday 6 PM to 10:30 PM, Christmas Day 6 PM to 9:30 PM, December 26th through the 30th 6 PM to 9:00 PM and New Years Eve 6 PM to 9 PM and New Years Day 6 PM until 9 PM. Sometimes the light displays will be closed if the weather is really bad, such as strong wind of heavy rain. This event is located at 352 Hillcrest Avenue Livermore, CA 94550.
Double-Decker Christmas Lights Loop
For a fee, you can take your family on a Double Decker Christmas Lights Loop tour. The tour is fully narrated and will go by all of the most popular holiday light spots such as the Embarcadero Ice Rink, Union Square, Market Street and many other light displays. Each tour lasts around 75 to 90 minutes and they start at 6 PM. Tours began the day after Thanksgiving and are from Wednesday through Sunday. Once you go on the tour, you can not get off during it.
