If you want to know more about something, the fastest way to get the full story is to read blogs of people who know all about it. In this case, I viewed the random blogs of Beauty Queens. I learned that some people have great experiences, and that some people take them too far. Here is a synopsis of seven random beauty queen blogs.
Mrs. Nevada United States 2007: Mrs. Tracy Rogers Takes up on a journey through the pageant world. Her blog talks about finding pageant wear and sponsors as well as working with charities. She writes about the interesting people she meets and the pageants where she serves as a judge. The blog is loaded with pictures of her friends and family as well as other pageant royalty. Mrs. Rogers has run in Relay for Life, and participates in other fundraisers for the American Cancer Society.
Official Blogspot for the Mrs. Earth Pageant: The Mrs. Earth Blog was started on June 25, 2005 making it a new blog. I gather that the pageant is just as new. This blog chronicles the journey of putting together a pageant system from dealing with emails regarding the name of the pageant being copywrited by someone else to the first pageant.
Confessions of a Stage Mom: While this blog ended abruptly in May, it is quite interesting. Perhaps the kid of this stage mom is too busy for mom to continue writing. The last post gives details of what appears to be a very glitzy pageant, spray tanning, swimwear, and all. In another post, she describes the phenomenon of pageant hangover quite accurately.
Big 4 Pageant, is the journal of a young woman who loves pageants. This website is all pageant news all the time. This pageant crazy blog owner also runs a pageant forum.
Liberian Pageants displays girls from Liberia who reside in the United States. It is a celebration of cultural pride and traditions. Posts include a picture of Regis Philbin with a group of contestants.
Miss Vermont Outstanding Teen blog is a journal by the 2007 Vermont outstanding Teen. She seems like an everyday girl to me. There is nothing pretentious about this royal blogger. In addition to pageants, she participates in variety shows, and is filming what appears to be a movie called “Voices”.
The Miss America Blog features Lauren Nelson he current Miss America who journals about her duties and roles in her job as Miss America. You can read about her travels, events she attends, and charity work. This job is as glamorous as you think.
