Dillon Montana may have a population of a little over 3,000 people, but that doesn’t mean it lacks in the food industry. When I first moved to Dillon, MT months ago, I discovered some of the best places to eatery, including Sparky’s Garage. If you are looking for a creative place to enjoy a great lunch and an even better breakfast, you will love this joint. Located on 412 Pointdexter St. lies one of the most creative restaurants in Dillon, Sparky’s Garage. Despite this popular eatery resembling a dive that is on a garage wavelength, substituting napkins with oil rags and lights with gas cans, this restaurant truly is fantastic, making it worth eating at right now.
When you first enter this prevalent eating establishment, you will notice that everything is themed, as if you were entering a contemporary garage from the 21st century. With an array of murals on the wall and other garage affiliated memorabilia, this place truly proves that good food and ingenuity go hand in hand. I was surprised that instead of getting a napkin to use, I received something better and practical, an oil rag.
The food at this place is incredible and if I am being honest, one of the best places to enjoy in Montana. Everything from the “Onion Rings” (for only $4.75 that are battered and fried and served with good ranch dressing) to the “Cheese Quesadilla” (for only $5.95 which is filled with cheese, onions, black olives, and tomatoes and served with salsa and sour cream) to even the “Hub Cap Nachos” (for only $7.50 that come in an actual baby moon hubcap and are topped with the works that include: chili, cheese, onions, tomatoes, sour cream, and salsa.) The “Root beer Floats” at Sparky’s are incredible and give A&W a run for their money.
One thing is certain, I absolutely love the breakfast selection at Sparky’s as it’s rather simple, but good. The food is so genuine, but at the same time very original. I have to be honest, the breakfast at Sparky’s is superb and definitely ranks very when it comes to comparing a good, authentic breakfast in Montana. I am a big fan of the “French Toast”, but I also love the “Mushroom and Onion Omelet” too. Served with a glass of orange juice, your Sparky’s breakfast is actually complete.
The staff is rather swift, yet prompt, unless it is crowded and there are few waiters and waitresses there. The service I received there was really good, so I have nothing negative to say about the staff. I actually find that there are a select few that really do stand out, including a nameless, unidentified female resembling a 2005 Ashlee Simpson. She even asked if I wanted my “starters” before or during my other entrees I ordered.
If you are looking for a great place, with great food and fun, I truly recommend Sparky’s Garage, as you will not be disappointed. For more information, simply call: (406) 683-2828 today.
