Columbus, Ohio, is a large metropolitan filled with hundreds of hotels. When planning for a weekend trip I spent plenty of time researching area hotels until I found what I hoped was the perfect one: Staybridge Suites Dublin. The good and consistent reviews, great amenities and affordable price led me to Staybridge Suites in Columbus, and fortunately this hotel exceeded my expectations.
Staybridge Suites is located in Dublin, an affluent neighborhood north west of the Columbus city center. The area is safe, very accessible to major highways, and just minutes from plenty of shopping and restaurants. The exterior of this Staybridge Suites was clean and inviting and easy to spot from the main road.
One of the reasons I chose Staybridge Suites Dublin is that it is an affordable all suites hotel. Our rate was $99 a night for a one bedroom suite. The bedroom had a king sized bed with a TV and armoire at the end, a small dressing area with a large closet and sink, and a bathroom with the toilet and shower. The living area of our Staybridge Suite had an adequate sized living room with a couch, chair, television, and coffee table. The couch is a pull out offering additional sleeping space. There is also a large desk with outlets and data ports and a small kitchen. The kitchen has a two seater bar area, a full sized refrigerator, two burner stove, sink, and dishwasher. The kitchen in our Staybridge Suite was adequately stocked with dishes, utensils, and cookware. Our Staybridge Suites room was clean, provided plenty of space, and was perfect for our needs. We were able to put our 18 month old to bed at 8:00 and still stay up to watch TV without disturbing him.
The service at Staybridge Suites Dublin is also excellent. The staff was all very friendly and accessible. We requested a crib and were brought one immediately. The crib was a real portable crib, not a pack ‘n play which we have used at other hotels. Included in the room cost is an excellent breakfast buffet. Our buffet at Staybridge Suites Dublin featured scrambled and boiled eggs, toast, bagels, biscuits and gravy, waffles, granola bars, oatmeal, cold cereal, fresh fruit, milk, juices, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, danishes, muffins, and even pop tarts. The food tasted great and the buffet was never sparse. There was plenty of seating in the attractive lobby of Staybridge Suites Dublin and a nice fireplace which was welcome considering the single digit temperatures during our stay. There are cookies offered in the lobby each afternoon and on weeknights at the Staybridge Suites you can even enjoy free food and drinks at an evening reception.
Other amenities at the Staybridge Suites Dublin hotel include an indoor heated swimming pool, a sauna, a 24 hour fitness center, and computer access. The swimming pool is large and well heated. The fitness center at Staybridge Suites Dublin has two treadmills, an elliptical machine, an exercise bike, and a large weight machine. Not only is there wireless and high speed internet access available in all rooms, but two desktop computers are also available in the Staybridge Suites lobby for guest use. A small 24 hour convenience store is also located in the Staybridge Suites Dublin which offers toiletries, medicines, and many food items ranging from drinks to Hot Pockets and even pints of ice cream. The prices at the Staybridge Suites convenience store are reasonable. I purchased a bottle of apple juice for my son and it was just $1.00 with no tax.
Overall I was extremely impressed by the Staybridge Suites Dublin hotel. I cannot imagine that there is a better hotel at a better value offered in the Columbus area. For business or leisure, single or family travel, the Staybridge Suites Hotel Dublin is an excellent choice for comfort, cleanliness, service, and amenities.
