If your located in Michigan and wanting to see some great fireworks then this is the perfect area for you. Downriver host many firework bashes . Some offer carnivals and other things to do while you wait for the dark. Michigan is big on their firework displays, so find one near you and have a good time.
Wednesday July, 4th at dusk
Their main viewing area is located at Rotary Park, but you can view the fireworks all along the riverfront. Some even take their boats to help avoid crowds and such. The admission is free and parking is also free in most spots. It will be hard to find a parking spot. The Downriver Community Band plays at will start at 8pm.
Friday, June 29th at dusk
Located at bishop park will be a spectacular show. This is another water front show and boats are welcome. Many people will drive their boats for this viewing. Fireworks viewing areas are located at bishop park and BASF waterfront park. The fireworks will be launched from Hennepin Point by Wolverine Fireworks display company.
Friday July 13th at dusk
Located at heartiage park there are many things to do besides the fireworks. If you have all day to spend here, then you may want to do so. There are many things to do here. There are different events happening that whole weekend. There are live concerts each day and one of them days the cheetah girls will be there. There is a large carnival located here all three days. There is also a large Vegas room with a beer tent. Something that is a favorite with all the adults. On Saturday there is something called family day. They have all kinds of activities for the kids to do. They can fish in the pond and see who catches the largest fish and many more activities in order to get familys together more. Music stations will be here all three days also. Taylor is known for an awesome show and most will agree that its the best in Michigan, bypassing Detroit’s large blowout. This is something that you don’t want to miss.

This year will mark the 49th year for these fireworks. These fireworks can be seen for miles and there are always more then one million people coming there. I will say from past experience, it takes hours to get home. There are so many people here. Zambelli fireworks international, America’s oldest and largest fireworks company, choreographs the 30 minute firework display. There is summertime music playing at various locations. Parking is anywhere in Detroit, with a shuttle bus available.
