I have had my eye on The Perfect Autumn Large Ceramic Pumpkin Candle From Bath and Body Works ever since it hit shelves. Only when it hit the shelves it sort of stood there. No one in their right mind would pay $75.00 for a goddamn candle. Not me anyhow.
I loved it though, not for the candle, but for the pumpkin ceramic jar that it would be once the candle was all gone.
The candle itself is huge, it has 4 wicks for you to light, which release 4 times the scent. The scent is gorgeous too, in the store I lifted the lid and took in a huge sniff of the scent. It was pumpkin all right. It smelled a lot like spiced pumpkin. I could smell a sweet pie like flavor with a spice of cinnamon, that I absolutely loved.
I have burned candles with 4 wicks before though, and usually only 1 lights up properly, while the other 3 burn out and get buried under the wax never to be used.
The ceramic pumpkin though, I wanted it!
So I got It!
If anyone knows me well, they know that my boyfriend and I were in the middle stages of buying a home…when the deal fell through I got mad, depressed, sad… and all of that other terrible emotional crap that comes with it.
My outlet: Shopping. It heals the pain…for the time being anyway. My purpose to taking the drive to my local Bath and Body Works sadly was for this specific candle.
Once I arrived though my bad luck went from good. The The Perfect Autumn Large Ceramic Pumpkin Candle was now on sale for $35.00. However I had to spend $25.00 to get it for the low price. If you think about it, it was a win/win deal. Instead of spending $75.00 on just the candle, I could now get something else, and the candle for $60.00.
I of course bought the small ceramic pumpkin candle, a lotion…and my love: The Perfect Autumn Large Ceramic Pumpkin Candle From Bath and Body Works.
The Perfect Autumn Large Ceramic Pumpkin Candle From Bath and Body Works is a large glazed ceramic jar. It is painted gorgeously, with an adorable green stem with a giant pumpkin patch leaf on its top lid. After the candle is gone (which will be a while), I plan on using the ceramic jar as a cookie jar. Mainly, this was why I wanted it.
Inside of the pumpkin ceramic is the wax. The wax is a creamy pumpkin colored wax with 4 wicks in it.
I wanted to burn this sucker as fast as possible, but with 19.5 ounces of wax inside, I knew it would be awhile. The candle will burn for 35 hours, but at that rate and my candle burning habits…it means the wax will last for about 5 years!
I lit all 4 wicks, and surprisingly they stood lit. Like I said, most 4 wick large candles have wicks that just burn to ash.
It took about a half hour for me to be able to detect the pumpkin smell throughout the room. A scent that I love! It seriously put me in that fall festive feeling, and I actually managed to decorate the house with my fall/Halloween decorations while it was burning.
Even after putting blowing the candle out, the scent lasted throughout our home for nearly 2 hours. I like! I love!
Best of all though, when the candle is done, I can wash it out and use the jar every season as a cookie jar. 2 for the price of one!
If you have the $75.00 to spare than go for it. With the sale going on right now, you can add the smaller ceramic pumpkin to the collection. You can use the large jar as a cookie jar, and the smaller one for sugar packets.
The Perfect Autumn Large Ceramic Pumpkin Candle From Bath and Body Works is truly a large gorgeous piece that would look fantastic right in the middle of the dinner table.
You can purchase it in any local Bath and Body Works, or at www.bathandbodyworks.com.
The candle measures in at 9″h x 7″w. It’s really a lot bigger when you lay your eyes on it. Although the candle did not burn away my woes, it made me happy, and makes me happy when I think about it sitting on my future kitchen table.
