October 31st is only weeks away and the stores have finally started to set out there decorations. By now hundreds of kids are tethering on the edge and can not wait for the big night. Costumes are being discussed and looked for. Parties are starting to be set up and advertised. The Theme Parks are not exception and why should they be left out of the fun. Here is my top 3 Pick for Halloween fun this year Theme Park style in California.
For all ages, especially the little ones.
Of course this has to be Disney Land. Who else could be the leader in the pack for this family friendly fun? Disney puts on a special show for Halloween each year. This Halloween show is not so scary and very cute. Disney’s Halloween Time starts at September 31st and goes until October 31st. An entire month of spooky Halloween fun.
Visit Tim Burton’s Haunted Mansion Attraction and be sure to check out Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Of course you can ride the many different rides and be entertained by the Disney Characters in their Halloween Best. Make sure to stick around for the Light Parade. Disney promises to have the decorations bigger and better then ever this year. The food is always great. If you book your dates well in advance and print them out at home you can safe a nice amount of money. Look for the 2 day Park Hopper tickets and enjoy 2 Days for a much reduced price. The 2 Day Park Hopper Ticket is only $122.00. If you want to make it Vacation Package out of it, you can choose the different components and add additional features including a fantastic Room at the Disneyland Resort Hotel, meals and the special Trick or Treating Events.
Recommended for the entire family at one of the oldest Theme Parks around.
Knott’s Scary Farm Haunt is not recommended for Children under the age of 13 Years. So please don’t make plans to go there with your smaller ones. For those Camp Snoopy is recommended during the day time. The Event goes from Sept 27th thru Oct 31st. The park opens at 7pm and is open until 1 am. No customs masks or re-entry is permitted. You want to order your tickets ahead of time for a price break. If you wait to purchase them at the door you are charged $51.00 per person, order them ahead and you will pay only $46.00 per adult. Check out Ghost Town, Silver Bullet Mine Town, The Gauntlet and Carnevil. You can add VIP dinner before hand for an additional $16.25 including Tax and gratuity. This includes a great themed dinner and early admission to the park. Anticipate being hungry after the show and are planning on staying till late? Why not go to the Halloween Scare Breakfast Buffet located at Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Restaurant open from midnight until 3:30 am. The cost is $8.50 per person not including drinks.
For the older crowd may I suggest?
Welcome to the Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights, featuring 4 new mazes and all new Terror Tram. You are not permitted to wear customs. Children are not encouraged to be present. This is an extreme setup and may be too scary for the little ones. This is the final Week for special discounted online Tickets, so make sure you can get your Order in.
The days of the event are: Oct. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27, 28, 31 times vary from 7pm to midnight, 1am or 2am, so make certain to check hours when purchasing your ticket.
Discount Tickets are available on line for Oct 5th and Oct 6th only. The cost for one of those days admission per person is $29.00. Regular ticket Price is $51.00 per person for the day of the event. If you are planning on going day and night to the Theme Park you can purchase Tickets for $71.99 per person (instead of $122.00 regular) not bad.
Want to go to more then one Event over the 14days?
For additional Savings you may want to check into the CaliforniaPass. You receive 5 big name attractions for the fraction of a price. Adult Tickets are $235.00 (instead of the value of $325.00) per person and children under the age of 12 Years are only $189.00 per child. Seems a bit steep? Check out what is all included: Disneyland, DisneylandAdventurePark, Universal Studios, San Diego Zoo and the SeaWorldAdventurePark. This is definitely a nice little line up.
I don’t know about you, but I am ready to go. As for me and mine, we will be at Knott’s in the beginning of October. Have a spook-tacular Halloween everyone!
