This website is dedicated to the Haunted Mansion attractions from the Disney Theme Parks. It’s fun, extremely unique, and makes for one terrific conversation piece. It’s ideal for a Disney fan, especially if you have great childhood memories attached to your visits to the parks. When you have time, you can delve into this gold mine of history, trivia, downloads, and more! But beware, the time may fly when you’re checking this one out.
Drew Struzan is an artist who is firmly lodged in the pop culture consciousness of America, and I bet he’s in yours too. You’ll recognize the work he has done for movie posters on just about every one of your favorite flicks from the past three decades. It’s a good way to connect right off the bat with a creative sense of excitement before you even start working.
Does this even need an explanation? You can register for extra goodies on this site by creating a username and password, and even though it has existed for years, it is handy dandy if you’re looking for news on the upcoming fourth installment. And since it’s literally coming from the source, you won’t hear any misinformation or false rumors here. Honestly, what ill could come of you having Harrison Ford in your life every single day?
The ultimate nerd website. Trust me on this one, I would know. Full of everything you would or could want to know about Star Wars and the amazing studio George Lucas built to make it into a reality. This site is really good for days when you are fantasizing about working anywhere else, probably because you hate your job…you can check the Lucasfilm job listings and daydream away!
To me, when I think of the Muppets, I instantly feel empowered. Remember when you were a kid, and the Muppet Movie made you feel like you could grow up and be anything that you wanted to be? “Life’s like a movie, write your own ending, keep believing, keep pretending…” Connect with that nostalgic inspiration instantaneously by having this as your homepage.
I’ve been checking this site out for years, and it’s essentially dedicated to movie news and film reviews. It won me away from Filmforce. There’s intelligent discourse, hysterical arguing on the message boards, and a very personality based system of reviews complete with cartoon alter egos. This is a movie website for people who LOVE movies. And it’s accurate criticism, because you feel as though you’re hearing about these movies from a friend. Straight talk, is basically what it amounts to. I can tell you that most of the reviewers from “Ain’t It Cool”, are pretty witty. It’s so refreshing to actually have a good laugh when reading a review, instead of just rolling your eyes at inaccessible or pretentious griping. And anyway, they seem to have the best connections and the most accurate news and links.
This is very similar to Doombuggies.com, other than the fact that it’s dedicated to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Chock full of, oh okay I’ll say it, “treasure”. Anyway, it’s great fun and it’s packed with history and goodies. How can you have a bad day when you start it off by seeing pirates on your monitor?
I’m sure you know it, and you probably love it. It’s the fake news. It’s the news that mocks the news, and in this day and age don’t we need that? As far as I’m concerned, the best way to start your day is with a good hard laugh, and a reminder not to take yourself too seriously. And I challenge you not to laugh when you see the headlines on TheOnion.com in the morning.
This is the handy dandy movie trivia website, a database that can end any pop culture debate about film or television. And, if you don’t tell anyone it’s where you get your information, it can make you look very smart. And really, isn’t that what matters most of all?
Shameless plug! I actually don’t factor in anywhere NEAR these other websites, I’m not even orbiting around them. But I am a freelance writer and a novelist, so you may want to visit this page while you still can. That way you can say, “Hey, I knew her before…” Hopefully that sentence won’t end with anything regarding prison, a circus, or some terrible doom…
