Water is the best option to stay hydrated during summer, but there are other ways to give your body what it needs to stay hydrated. Most people need 8 glasses of liquid a day, more during the hot summer months. The best way to know that you are staying hydrated is if you are urinating about every 2 hours, and your urine is not dark and/or cloudy.
It’s hard for some people to drink more than 8 glasses of water a day. You can sneak fluids into your body to stay hydrated. Her are the top 5 easy ways to stay hydrated during summer:
1-Water. Water is still the best option to stay hydrated. It’s best to drink smaller portions more frequently through the day than trying to catch up by drinking several glasses at once. It may be easier to drink water to stay hydrated to carry a bottle of water with you wherever you go and take frequent sips.
2-Other Drinks. Sport drinks and fruit/vegetable juices are other good ways to stay hydrated. Make sure you include water in the line-up. Also, you shouldn’t drink too much full-strength juice because of natural sugars and calories. You can dilute your juice with water. Some people add a pinch of salt to their diluted fruit juices to make their own sport-style drinks to stay hydrated during summer. If you drink caffeinated or carbonated beverages, be sure to include extra water, as those ingredients may make you lose fluids.

During the summer, I fill used water bottles with regular water then keep some in the refrigerator and some in the freezer.
