The US Open golf TV schedule will keep any US Open golf fan busy watching TV all day today. This morning, the US Open golf TV schedule will start on ESPN, as the US Open is already under way. For Tiger Woods fans, the US Open golf TV morning schedule is the place to see him today, as he teed off about a few hours ago. What fans will see on the US Open TV schedule is a messy course at Bethpage, and players probably struggling to make par, as usual at the US Open. Or they did, until play got suspended.
Coverage of the US Open golf tournament began at 10 a.m. on ESPN this morning. The network will get to cover the first round action until 3 p.m. today. After that, NBC gets a two hour block of the US Open golf TV schedule, from 3 to 5 p.m. Afterwards, ESPN will get the US Open back from 5 to 7 p.m., wrapping up the first round.
For the second round, the US Open golf TV schedule is exactly the same, with ESPN coverage from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m., and NBC taking over from 3 to 5. But for the final weekend of the US Open, NBC has exclusive coverage from 2 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, and 1:30 to 7 pm on the final Sunday.
This morning, the US Open golf TV schedule has Tiger Woods playing bright and early. However, there have been rain problems at Bethpage, as expected. As such, play is currently suspended, leaving Woods and the others high and not so dry.
ESPN will have to pad their US Open TV schedule with things other than actual golf for a while until the weather clears up. More rain is forecast in the future, which means the actual golf schedule may have to be very flexible this week, and the networks will have to be flexible with it.
Before play was suspended, Woods was +1 through six holes, as he had started with a double bogey early on. Only four players were under par at -1, with several more at even. However, scores barely below par are common at the US Open, rain or no.
Suspended play and heavy rain are the worst things possible for the US Open golf TV schedule, which still has about eight more hours to kill today on ESPN and NBC. But it looks like the next few days could be so crammed with makeup golf, they won’t have much more dead air to deal with the rest of the week.
