What can I say about this place? Nothing more than that I absolutely, truly love it. It is my “Sunday” spot to eat, wether it’s for breakfast or lunch. Their fresh Vietnamese dishes are sure to fill an empty stomach no matter what your taste is for the day! Soups, rice dishes, Thai specialties (as well as Vietnamese, of course) and even bubble Tea’s for dessert are served at this awesome Vietnamese hot-spot, new to Upper Darby, Pennsylvania.
Anh Hong, Pho & Cafe restaurant located in Upper Darby, PA, is one of my new favorite places to eat. Tasting just like the Vietnamese restaurants in South Philly, but brought right up to your front door in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. All the dishes are moderately priced, ranging from $3.00-$6.00 for appetizers, and $6.00-$13.00 for entrees depending on your hunger.
A cute little establishment along the shopping area where the H-Mary in Upper Darby is located, this place is very ethnically decorated inside, and is very homey and comfortable to eat in. Not only do they have Vietnamese hoagies and dishes you can buy right up front at the counter, as well as coffees and smoothies to just grab and go, the menu when you sit down is also as good and extensive as the Vietnamese food they have to just pay for and take home.
Famous for the delicious Vietnamese Pho soup, you can’t beat the prices and selection this restaurant has to offer. The Vietnamese Beef Stew, and Seafood with Crispy Egg Noodle are two of my favorites, also. Another favorite Vietnamese dish in Anh Hong of mine is the Bun Thit Nuong – and delightful dish of charbroiled pork chop laid on a bed of vermicelli noodles. It is then topped with bean sprouts, mint, shredded lettuce, cucumbers, and crushed peanuts – a delicious combination! The tables come complete with all the sauces you need to spice up your dish, also – and don’t forget to request the peanut sauce for your spring rolls!
There are usually specials in the place when you walk in, located on the walls next to your table you will be sitting at. There’s tons of drinks to choose from including the famous Vietnamese “bubble” teas and smoothies, or try the Soda Chanh Duong, a very popular Vietnamese soda which is made of club soda and sugar, topped with fresh lemon, ice and lime.
Service is always excellent here, quick and efficient, I never mind dining here, even with a big party. The servers are all very pleasent and also very knowledgeable in the Vietnamese food they serve to their guests! Clean, great prices, and great food – you can’t ask for more at Anh Hong!
