The city of Detroit is offering flu shots for local residents without insurance, or those who cannot afford the shot, for free. Following is the schedule of locations where the free flu shots will be available.
October 22, 2007.
Free flu shots will be available at the UAW Dave Miller Building (8732 E. Jefferson Avenue), from 12-3 pm.
October 25, 2007.
The free flu shots will be given out at the Williams Recreation Center at 8431 Rosa Parks Boulevard.
They will also be offered at the Coleman A. Young Community Center, located at 2751 Robert Bradbury Drive.
November 1, 2007.
The Northwest Activities Center at 18100 Meyers will have the free flu shots available from 12-3 pm.
November 2, 2007.
Flu shots will be available at the Crowell Community Center at 16630 Lahser.
November 6, 2007.
Flu shots will be offered at the Butzel Family Center at 7737 Kercheval.
November 7, 2007.
Free flu shots will be available at the Adam Butzel Recreation Complex at 10500 Lyndon.
November 13, 2007.
Free flu shots will be available at the Farwell Recreation Center at 2711 East Outer Drive.
November 15, 2007.
Free flu shots will be available at the Kemeny Recreation Center located at 2260 South Fort.
November 19, 2007.
Free flu shots will be available at the Madar Senior Center, located at 13560 East McNichols from 10 am-1 pm.
November 29, 2007.
Free flu shots will be available at the Herman Kiefer Health Complex at 1151 Taylor, from 10 am-3 pm.
December 4, 2007.
Wayne County Community College will have flu shots from 12-3 pm at their Westside Campus at 8851 Greenfield.
December 5, 2007.
Wayne County Community College will also offer flu shots at their Eastern Campus at 5901 Connor from 12-3 pm.
December 6, 2007.
Flu shots will be available from 12-3 pm at the City Council auditorium from 12-3 pm. The auditorium is located at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center at 2 Woodward Avenue on the 13th floor.

A flu shot clinic will also be held at the Berkley Community Center from 11 am-3 pm at 2400 Robina. The shots are $25, $40 for pneumonia, and are free for certain Medicare programs.
The University Physician’s Office will also hold a flu shot clinic, on November 5 at 1:30 pm. The shots will be $25, and $10 for all Michigan State University employees.
