Worcester, Massachusetts’ strip joints are often overshadowed by strip joints in Boston, strip joints in Providence and strip joints in Hartford.
While Worcester doesn’t have a large number of strip joints, the ones it does have are both fun, and, in comparison to other strip joints in the region, affordable. The following are the four best strip joints, along with reviews, in Worcester.
229 SW Cutoff
Centerfolds is an unpretentious strip joint that is a bit of a Worcester institution. The strippers here are hotter than what you might expect, given the ‘down home’ decor, the very low cover charge and drink prices, and the bare bones amenities.
There Is a full bar, though Centerfolds doesn’t have a restaurant and is not the kind of place you bring a client or hold an after meeting celebration.
It is a popular place for bachelor and divorce parties, and if there is such a thing as a Cheers version of a Worcester strip joint, Centerfolds is it. The layout is a bit awkward, given the very large stage and lack of ‘private’ areas, but overall this is a fun place, with fully nude dancers and not a lot of pressure.
350 Southbridge Street
Hurricane Betty’s is the personification of a “mid range” strip club.
It’s not a dive and it’s not a top end New York City strip joint. It’s somewhere in between and is certainly one of the very best in Worcester. Hurricane Betty’s is known for a great mid-week amateur night as well as a place where ladies and couples are welcomed, and seen frequently enjoying the sexy entertainment.
As mentioned, Hurricane Betty’s has a bit of ‘upscale’ to it that serves to balance out the ‘amateur night’ and low prices. There is a VIP room and private dance room, where the prices, and the excitement, rise.
187 SW Cutoff
Lamplighter II is a place that has a reputation that is probably a bit out-sized in comparison to its reality, although the more time you spend here, the more you will like it, due mostly to the friendly and energetic vibe of its dancers.
Lamplighter II is not a high end place, but then Worcester strip joints are really not known to be to begin with and the level of expectation is not really set to that standard for this place or others. The strippers here though are very friendly and nice. There is no strong pressure, but there is a sense of fun and good time.
As with most strip clubs in Worcester, Lamplighter II is a fully nude establishment and it does offer a full bar. There is usually no cover charge here (except for prime times) and the drinks are very affordable.
241 Southbridge Street
Platinum Premier is easily the most upscale strip joint in Worcester. In fact, the food at Platinum Premier, served at the Flames Grille, ranks among the best in all of Worcester, and just so happens to be served at a strip joint filled with very hot strippers. The veal chop is excellent and the wine selection is top shelf.
But, the main attraction here, as with any other strip joint, is not the food, let’s face it. The Platinum Premier offers no fewer than four types of private room experiences, including The Silver Room, VIP Skybox, VIP Gold Room and The Platinum Room.
With various price levels, various levels of privacy and various time limits, each room offers a unique experience. The strippers here are the hottest in Worcester and while the atmosphere is a bit more charged and pressurized than some of the local types of places, it’s not overbearing and doesn’t ruin the fun.
If you live in the Worcester visiting, and are in the mood for some adult fun, you’ll enjoy these strip joints.
